We recently connected with Victoria Alata and have shared our conversation below.
Victoria, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Do you take vacations? Why or why not?
Yes, I do take vacations and when I do, I have some projects already prepared that I can post during that time, or I also repost old projects that new followers may not have seen.
Having some time away from social media helps me reset and come back with new energy and ideas.
Vacations are a period of reconnection with my origins and life purposes.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
My name is Victoria Alata, I make wreaths and many other crafts.
I specialize in creating decorations for all times of the year, birthdays, weddings, and easy-to-make and low-budget home decor, such as centerpieces, wreaths, decorative candles, fake cakes, fabric decorations, etc.
My clients know me for making personalized custom orders according to their particular taste.
How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
My clients should always know that they can contact me whenever they have a problem with their order, for example, if they buy a wreath and some ornament falls or breaks, they can come back to me, and I will always be willing to fix the problem.
This is what I like about custom work, we can always agree regarding tastes.
I do share the tutorial on my social media so my followers and clients can see all the processes of the product.
That makes a special connection between my client and me.
How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
I graduated as a Physiotherapy Technician in Peru, but I was never able to work in my profession here because after becoming a mother it was very difficult for me to enter the job market.
I had to look for options that would allow me to work from home and at the same time take care of my baby.
This whole process inspired me to look for new work options and that is how my love for the arts was born.
