We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Victor Wright a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Victor, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to hear about a time you helped a customer really get an amazing result through their work with you.
When I was just five years old, I was diagnosed with autism and ADHD. My speech was delayed, and I had severe sensory issues. For the next 10 years, it was very difficult to keep up in school, attend any outdoor events, and make friends. With 10 years of speech therapy, one on one with many autism specialists, I have turned my life around.
My parents saw my place of peace was swimming in the pool. At 15, they got me into competitive swimming. I started swimming with Special Olympics just five years ago. In my first year I was one of the fastest on the team. I started attending West Orange High School in Winter Garden Florida. I earned a spot on the swim team for the next three years, earning my Letter in swimming.. Swimming has opened many doors for me, with an invitation to swim in the country of Malta.
With many swimming photographs, my parents thought that I could have a career in front of the camera. My dream is to get published in a magazine, to give hope and inspiration to other kids like me. .All we want in life is to be given a chance, and to treat us kindly
