We were lucky to catch up with Victor Rojas recently and have shared our conversation below.
Victor, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
I became interested in the world of media when I finished my degree in architecture and the local television station called me to do a set design project for the news set. While working in the television studios, my interest in television production began. I was hired as a set and lighting designer for different programs, which was financed by the television media production studios in Mexico City (TELEVISA). On the condition that after finishing the preparation for television production: Technical and Academic, I had to stay and work at the local station for 3 years. Which became 11 continuous years of collaborating with the local television channel in my city, to then start my own audiovisual production company for 5 more years in my city. Due to security problems in my city at that time, we immigrated to this country. We are now producing “HEYNASH-TV” here in Nashville, TN., with the collaboration of several Latino and American people. Giving opportunities to talents who wish to showcase their skills in front of a camera.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
The first part of this question was already answered on the previous page. The advice I give my clients is about how video creation can help their business or service, taking care of the lighting and audio during the recording. The satisfaction of being able to help the people even if they sometimes do not hire us to make their videos. For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
The satisfaction of helping someone also comes from constant evolution and learning. Each project brings new challenges and overcoming them builds skills and confidence.
Are there any books, videos, essays or other resources that have significantly impacted your management and entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy?
I have read and followed people on social media who are dedicated to Neuroscience, how the advertising that surrounds us works and how to take advantage of social media for this advertising.
