We were lucky to catch up with Victor Ramos recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Victor, thanks for joining us today. What’s the best or worst investment you’ve made?
As a business owner, you feel that money is the goal, how to make the most amount of money without having to invest too much capital, time, and effort. but in all reality that’s great and awesome, but there’s always a cost. This cost is not always tangible or you can factor it in an excel spreadsheet, most of the time it costs you your health, your emotional wellbeing, your spiritual peace, and your family time.
Back when I first started this business under another name I was focused on fame, money, and my career, the goal was to have as many people as possible. regardless of the quality. quantity over quality right? it doesn’t matter if in a month I have a few clients fall thru the cracks, as long as the pot was always full the business would be ok.
The problem with this mentality was that we focused on the wrong report. Yeah, you can say that our report would say that our numbers were good. we never lack money, but that overflow of money was creating a hole in my heart and in my soul.
I later realized that my needs weren’t going to be filled by the money. but by the people.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I got into the rehearsals business as a way to fill the need that I was constantly having. I NEED A SPACE TO REHEARSE!! everything was either too far or too expensive, so we opened one! and it has been a blessing! God really took care of everything and here we are until he says it’s done
Do you have any insights you can share related to maintaining high team morale?
Believe in your team, Believe in the people. It’s true that they are some good seeds and seeds that need a little more time and dedication, but all good things require time. And the best investment that you can always do is to invest in people, always take them to the next level with you. no one is replaceable. Each person is unique.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
“I have never struggled more in my life” and I say this with a little “picardia” to a certain sense because my life right now is the best life I ever had the level of personal peace i experience is beyond my understanding, but in all honesty is because I have no control of it. Back in 2019, I decided to give my all to God, and it has been a process. it’s an ongoing process. I’m not a perfect man, but a progresive man that is always looking up for instructions.
