We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Veronika Voskalchuk. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Veronika below.
Veronika , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Taking care of customers isn’t just good business – it is often one of the main reasons folks went into business in the first place. So, we’d love to get a conversation going around how to best help clients feel appreciated – maybe you can share something you’ve done or seen someone do that’s been really effective at helping a customer feel valued?
In my dance studio, Dance Flow Miami, I believe that running a business, especially in the service industry, is all about putting the customers first. It’s not just about one specific thing I did for them, but rather, it’s about dedicating my entire life to the well-being of my students and my team.
Every decision I make in my business is with people in mind – both our students and our employees. I’m committed to creating a successful and stable business by always prioritizing the needs and happiness of our customers. I firmly believe that people are smart, and you can’t trick them. They can sense if you’re not genuinely looking out for their best interests.
We’ve been incredibly fortunate to have amazing customers who walk through our doors. My ultimate goal is to make them happy at our dance studio and help them reap all the benefits that dancing has to offer. So, every single thing I do on a daily basis is a way for me to show my deep appreciation for our wonderful customers.
Veronika , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My husband Alexander Voskalchuk and I have a rich history in the world of ballroom dancing. We are proud World Champions, US Open, and National Champions with over 30 years of experience in the industry. This extensive journey led us to establish Dance Flow Miami, a thriving dance studio in the heart of Miami.
Our careers began as performers, where we focused on presenting ourselves at the highest level. However, over time, we realized that we wanted more. We wanted to share our love for dance with a broader audience, especially those who had never danced before. Our vision was to create a friendly and supportive community where anyone, regardless of their experience level, could experience the magic of dance.
We partnered with good friends, who opened Dance Flow Boca Raton and Dance Flow Deerfield Beach. This collaboration gave rise to Dance Flow Miami, a dance studio where newcomers to dance can start their journey. We cater to diverse goals, from preparing for a wedding dance to becoming confident social dancers or even competitive champions.
Our extensive experience has allowed us to hire top-notch professionals to teach at our studio. We ensure that our instructors are well-trained, enabling our students to make the most of their time and investment. Ballroom dancing is a passion that often requires a personalized approach and guidance from seasoned experts. We take pride in being a customer-oriented, boutique-style dance studio.
While ballroom dance may not be the cheapest hobby, we believe that every cent invested in yourself and your dancing is worthwhile. The benefits of dancing are profound and have been proven by scientists. Dance has a rejuvenating effect, boosts confidence not only on the dance floor but also in everyday life, enhances coordination, and benefits both the mind and body. It’s not just about learning steps; it’s about discovering yourself. Come to Dance Flow Miami and experience it for yourself.
How do you keep your team’s morale high?
The key to managing a team and keeping morale high begins with having a clear vision. My husband and I had a specific vision for the kind of energy and atmosphere we wanted in our studio. We were well aware of the roles and positions needed to bring this vision to life. Through a series of job interviews, we were fortunate to find individuals who aligned with our vision.
We consider ourselves extremely lucky to have a team of incredible individuals who exude positive energy, work hard, remain humble, and bring a sense of fun to our studio. It all boils down to the people. We genuinely love our team, and they share our vision as well as our company’s core values.
Respect is a fundamental element in our team management approach. We go to great lengths to ensure that our team’s journey with Dance Flow is as enjoyable and smooth as possible. This is because we firmly believe that when our teachers (our employees) are content and fulfilled, our students (our customers) will also experience the same level of satisfaction.
In essence, the most crucial aspect of team management is assembling the right team members who not only comprehend and respect the core values of the company but are also passionate about realizing the shared vision.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Building an audience on social media for Dance Flow Miami has been a journey. The key factors that helped us grow include consistency in posting high-quality content that resonates with our audience. Knowing our target demographic and engaging with them through comments, messages, and collaborations with influencers and dance-related organizations has been pivotal. For those starting, my advice is to be patient, define your brand clearly, choose the right platforms for your audience, create a content calendar, engage with your followers, and analyze data to refine your strategy. Building a social media presence is about creating a community around your passion, so stay authentic and committed to your vision. Over time, your audience will grow as you continue to share your enthusiasm and expertise.
