We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Veronica Sala. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Veronica below.
Veronica, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What did your parents do right and how has that impacted you in your life and career?
For a long time in my career as an influencer I was seen as a party girl. I was always out at the club and raving every weekend, sometimes on weekdays. Going to music festivals all year long. Promoting brands that aligned with that type of culture is really only sustainable for a little bit, especially when it comes to your health. I actually fell into addiction during this time. I stopped making content as much. It lasted about two years. I was so deep into this mindset that I thought if I stopped doing what I was doing, I would potentially lose my career as an influencer and content creator. Not even realizing that I was barely even making any posts on my TikTok or instagram that were in any way professional or profitable. In October of 2024, my parents actually forced me to go to rehab. I did not want to go at all. I was still very much under the impression that I didn’t have a problem. But I ended up going anyways for 31 days. I really did hate them for it at first. I thought I would lose everything. I completed my time there, and I’m now six months clean and sober. I now create sober centric content on my TikTok and instagram, which ended up getting me seen by a company that has a sobriety and recovery podcast as well as recovery merchandise. They reached out to me and offered me a position with them hosting their podcast and creating content for them as an influencer. If there’s one thing I never thought I’d be doing it’s being a sober content creator and a recovery podcast host, but I absolutely have my parents to thank for that. Because one thing they did right was sending me to rehab for my addiction.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I am a sober content creator based in Portland Oregon. I love creating relatable content to help others move through their sobriety and addiction struggles with ease. I’ve been a content creator for about 7 years now, I did not start out with the niche that I have today, I definitely started out as the party girl who was seen out every weekend. I’m absolutely most proud of the transformation that I’ve made within myself in my career and as a person just by healing. I love being able to provide a safe and humorous space on social media for others to see that it is possible to express yourself in an authentic way.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
My goal is to inspire as many young people as possible, I always thought that influencers seemed very different and unrelatable to me. I’ve made it my goal to be as authentic as possible and post both the good and bad parts of my life so that people can truly see what it took to get me where I am today.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
Engaging with my following. I love when they ask me questions or ask me for advice. I absolutely love being my of service to people.
