Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Verónica Mar. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Verónica, appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.
The most meaningful project I have worked on in my life has been the Roma Garden sculpture, a sculpture divided into three parts that represented the energy of the owners’ dog, who are art collectors. The sculpture consists of three pieces created in cast aluminum lacquered with boat paint. Each of them is 6 meters long and surrounds the garden and the house, protecting the family.

Verónica, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I was born in Granada, Spain. I received a BA in Fine Arts from the University of Barcelona in 2005 and a BA in Interior Design from Eina School in 2004. Since 2007, I have exhibited my pieces at some of the best art-design galleries, such as Rossana Orlandi (Milan), Les Ateliers Courbet (NY), Mint (London), and The Wolfsonian Museum (Miami). My pieces SOUL Sculpture bench in 2011 and the Autumn Leaf swing in 2012 have won an international award.
I have created for brands, such as Porcelanosa, Cosentino, Tribú, LAB23, Groël, and more. I work with energy. I am in continuous search of balance and harmony, the naturalness of the forms, and the simplicity. A powerful body of work that contributes beyond what is visible. Each piece has and emanates its own soul.
Since 2014, I have shown my sculptures at art fairs and galleries in London, Shanghai, Barcelona, Madrid, Miami and NY. I have created pieces for private and public collectors.
I seek to represent the essence of nature and the human being in my works, with a minimum material presence. I give a dream of something different, something extra-ordinary, something genuine.
My art, sculptural pieces, and jewelry fuel one another. You can see in all my work my passion for nature, which creates total perfection and function.
I am based in Madrid, working for clients and collectors all over the world.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
I aim to infuse art with energy and emotion, transforming spaces and experiences through my sculptures. I strive to create pieces that resonate deeply with viewers, fostering a connection between art, nature, and human experience. Each work aims to evoke contemplation, joy, and a sense of protection, much like the Roma Garden sculpture, which symbolizes energy and safeguarding the home. Ultimately, my mission is to create art that enriches lives and environments. Additionally, I employ minerals, sacred geometry, and geobiology to harmonize spaces with my work.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The most rewarding aspect of being an artist is the ability to create meaningful connections through my work. Art allows me to express emotions, tell stories, and transform spaces, impacting both the viewer and the environment. Seeing my pieces resonate with people and evoke feelings or memories is incredibly fulfilling. Each project, like the Roma Garden sculpture, becomes a bridge between my vision and the audience’s experience, making the creative journey deeply gratifying.
