We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Veronica Harrell a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Veronica, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Do you wish you had waited to pursue your creative career or do you wish you had started sooner?
I am glad I began my creative career later in life. If I had achieved the success I enjoy now at an earlier age, I would not have valued it and likely would have squandered it. Now that I’m more mature, I appreciate the time, hard work, and sacrifices required to accomplish a goal or pursue a dream successfully.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
For folks who may not know me, I have been on Atlanta radio for over a decade. I worked with the best and for the best companies in the business. My voice has been providing traffic reports and, at times, news on WSB radio, Kiss 104.1, Channel 2 Action News, V-103, and WAOK.
I currently host a successful podcast, Dope Therapy, alongside three of my favorite people. We have been at it for over two years and are currently expanding. My husband and I own Dope Therapy through our company, 1025 Enterprises, LLC.
Dope Therapy/1025 Enterprises, LLC offers dream seekers a voice by providing a platform for those who want to pursue a career in entertainment to achieve their goals. Also, a new company is on the horizon: Veronica’s Voice Media (VVM). I am excited about this new venture and studio that is coming together to serve those who are ready to pursue their dreams. Details about Veronica’s Voice Media will be shared soon rather than later.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect of being creative is collaborating with other like-minded individuals. I love seeing great minds at work in their craft and loving what they do; it inspires me to strive for improvement. I also love the ability to help people reach their goals and to find talent in individuals who didn’t think they had any.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
I recently had to pivot in my long-standing career in radio after being laid off from my job. I had already established my LLC, but I was still working in the radio business because I loved the people and the work itself. However, it came to a halt in late 2024. Overall, the layoff has given me more time to focus on expanding my business and making a meaningful impact in the industry.
