Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Veronica Betancourt. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Veronica, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Do you manage your own social media?
I manage my own social media accounts, I am my business and I am my brand, so it only makes sense to me to be the one behind every post, every advice, and every story I post on my social media. It’s hard sometimes and navigating a coherent balance where you want to be consistent to grow your audience but also be truthful to yourself and the story you are telling, can be tricky at times. Being a consumer myself of different social media platforms I can see how the natural and more organic, non planned out content can catch your attention 10 times more then a post with organized information, and don’t get me wrong I love those too, giving tips and talking about industry trends is fun and I love it but sometimes we go to social media looking for real stories, for real people behind the screen and I’ve been learning about finding that rhythm, rotating the type of posts and keep it fun for the amazing people that follows my content but also for me!
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I’m Veronica, Wedding planner and photo booth business owner, I created We Vow Weddings thinking about my own wedding day, how I am going to make it look as beautiful as I envision without breaking the bank while at it and, also thinking about doing it all by myself considering my closest family lives far away! We Vow Weddings is all about giving support and companionship to budget-minded couples that want to bring their dream wedding to life! Being there every step of the way and helping them find the best option that fits their budget but also making them feel supported, held, and understood in a time where emotions are through the roof and handling stressful situations can get a bit overwhelming. We do Wedding planning and Wedding management (day of coordination), making sure we offer options for our hands on clients that only need us the day of the wedding to run the show or full support for our clients that want that extra help from day one until they walk down the aisle. We also offer photobooth rentals, with a modern and affordable open-air photobooth that brings a unique and personal touch to entertain guests on your special occasion.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
I think showing up is the best advice, show up every day, make it a habit, and be a part of your everyday tasks. Share your life, your victories, and your losses, share the real you, because people buy your products or hire you most of the time because of who you are and not necessarily because of a specific feature of your product or service. If they know you, they know your business and that is when they will fill confidence to hire you or buy from you! Growing an audience is very important for any business nowadays but also we need to always remind ourselves that serving the people that is already there following us everyday is very important too! Serve them well and you will grow without even knowing how it happened!
How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
Be kind and empathic, ask real questions, follow up as much as you can with the people that are engaging with your content, make notes of little details they mention in conversation when you meet with clients and ask about it in the future, when people feel heard and seen they appreciate it in ways you can’t imagine. When your client feel you genuinely care and you show it to them that is an experience that they can’t forget! That is the best way to create loyalty to the brand, having customers that feel part of your brand and your story and making it their own!
