Alright, Vernetta thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. So, naming is such a challenge. How did you come up with the name of your brand?
My full name is Vernetta Kiuanna Johnson so my parents called me Key for short instead of calling me Kiuanna. So that’s why I named my business Keys Scented Candles. Because everything is made by me.

My name is Vernetta Johnson and I’m a mother of two children and a bonus mom of two children. I love candles I love the way they smell and I love how they change your mood. The reason why I choose to come in the candle industry is because it needed something different in which I provide. Key’s Scented Candles has a supreme scent and a unlike style that brings happiness ,joy and peace to any home, decor or business. Since our first day in business Key’s Scented Candles has been offering our customers the best selection of candles at unbeatable prices. Our online store has become synonymous with quality and we ensure a continuous variety of fantastic candles along with unique limited edition and seasonal items that fit any budget.
Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
New Clients…Are the best people you can meet. Especially when you have something they love to have in their homes. My clients are very loyal and they are always willing to help me with my business.
Can you talk to us about how your funded your business?
I funded my business myself with the money that I had saved up.
