Alright, Venus thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
Initially, I was a stay at home mother coping with PTSD and looking for a hobby while having the freedom of working on my own schedule. It began with me seeking a natural alternative to help with my son’s severe eczema. After months of researching and trying out expensive products, I decided to look into formulating my own natural products. The natural oils seemed to help more often than the prescribed creams, which we later learned were known to bleach clothing. I had dreamed of creating and selling my own natural feminine scrubs In addition to the products I felt would help those with similar skin issues like my son. After seeing the actual benefit these products had and receiving all the positive feedback from others, this began my online skincare store.

I am a wife, mother of three. and owner of VS Natural Skin Care. I strive to provide my customers with products that contain only natural, skin replenishing ingredients. We formulate products to assist with acne, soothe eczema, acne scars and so much more. All products are made in small batches to produce the highest quality possible and ensure freshness. My business isn’t only about selling products but also ensuring that each and every customer gets the best possible customer service, whether it’s me answering any questions they may have, to checking orders and reaching out to each customer to make sure they received their products in a timely and efficient manner. At VS, we care about what our customers put onto their skin and maintain honesty with all of our products.
Can you open up about how you funded your business?
My business was actually funded by personal funds. I purchased an LLC, got an EIN, created my website and got the inventory needed to make my products.
What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
Honestly, the most effective strategy has been customer service. I have so many customers that mainly purchase from me because of how I interact with them. I have worked in the customer service field for over 8 years and I pride myself in ensuring my customers have the best experience possible. I want them all to truly feel the passion I have with my business.
