Vedant, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Can you talk to us about a project that’s meant a lot to you?

Brahm Foundation is a non profit organization that support 1 day event of Leander Diwali Festival.
The Leander Diwali Festival is more than just an event; it’s a celebration of culture, community, and togetherness. Each year, we bring together the diverse communities of Leander and surrounding areas to experience the joy and spirit of Diwali, a festival known for its message of light, hope, and unity. Our dedicated team of 15 volunteers, who are all local professionals, work tirelessly to create an inclusive, family-friendly environment that truly embodies the values of our city.

We want the entire city to come together and create impact

Vedant, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

In 2023, I had the vision of organizing a city-level festival to celebrate our shared culture. When I shared this idea with a few close friends, their enthusiasm was immediate—“Yes, let’s do it!” That initial spark quickly grew as we connected with like-minded individuals who shared a strong community-first mindset and were eager to contribute.

I’m incredibly proud of our team for successfully organizing two large-scale events. One of the initiatives we introduced was supporting local vendors by purchasing their goods as gifts for our stage guests, creating a meaningful way to uplift small businesses while enhancing the event experience. Seeing the community come together in this way has been truly rewarding.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.

Organizing this event came with its fair share of challenges, requiring resilience at every step. From designing a comprehensive parking and safety plan to securing funds, managing logistics, and handling unexpected hurdles on the event day, we had to be prepared for anything. Public health safety for food, crowd movement, event flow, lighting, and seating—all demanded meticulous planning and adaptability.

Despite these obstacles, we remained determined. When funding seemed uncertain, we reached out relentlessly until generous sponsors stepped in. When logistical roadblocks arose, we collaborated with city officials to find solutions. Every challenge was met with perseverance, and in the end, it was the unwavering dedication of the LDF team—Vedant Garg, Vidhyu Rao, Anitha, Mansi A Garg, Sravni Jo, Pratyusha Ramadugu, Purnima Sahoo, Aparna Sudhakar, Preeti Duaa, Ramesh Divi, Gangadhara Ramachary, Dinkar P, Teja Bobba, Paramesh Reddy, and Sudhakar Apadharana—that turned this
