Varol, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?
“I’ve always had a deep appreciation for creativity and art from a young age. I can’t pinpoint an exact moment, but my passion for the arts began to take root during my formative years. I was constantly drawing, taking pictures, or engaging in some form of artistic expression. It was a way for me to communicate and connect with the world around me. As I got older, I started to realize that my love for the creative process was more than just a hobby; it was something I wanted to make a significant part of my life. The turning point came when I took a few art classes in high school and received positive feedback from my teachers and peers. Their encouragement fueled my ambition to explore a career in the arts further.
Varol, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’ve been keenly involved in the universe of visual arts for roughly 25 years now. My passion for visual arts ignited at a very young age when I discovered the enchanting world of colors, shapes, and creativity. After the initial exposure in visual arts environment, I decided to formalize my interest by pursuing a degree in Visual Arts at Edith Cowan University in Western Australia. This academic journey exposed me to various art forms, techniques, and historical contexts, broadening my understanding of the field. I invested considerable amount of time each day to study, learn and practice photography and cinematography, in addition to improving my illustration and digital image making skills in depth. Which I still make sure to practice and keep learning to keep my skill set up to date… While formal education provided a strong foundation and allowed me to grow as an artist and refine my skills, I understood that hands-on experience was essential. I began creating my own artwork, experimenting with different mediums, and developing my unique style as a visual artist. In terms of what I offer, I specialize in providing creative digital art works that help businesses improve their online presence through digital advertising and marketing campaigns with solid strategies. My primary focus is on solving challenges that are related to creative visual processes for my clients. Whether it’s an advertising campaign, creating engaging content, boosting end user interaction or increasing sales of a service or product, my aim is to deliver effective solutions tailored to their unique needs by providing images that stand out and help draw attention to their certain ad campaign.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
To me, creativity is a journey that is deeply fulfilling and often transcends the boundaries of time and space. Creativity provides me with a platform for self-expression and a means to communicate complex feelings that may be challenging to express through words alone. Being a creative artist also allows me to convey my thoughts, emotions, and ideas in a unique and personal way. That said, the most rewarding aspect of being a creative artist is the opportunity to connect with one’s inner self, touch the hearts and minds of others, and contribute to the rich tapestry of human expression and culture.
What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
At its core, my creative journey is guided by a clear goal and mission that imbues purpose into my work. I see myself as a storyteller, and my chosen medium is visual arts that is basically a platform that enables me to combine photography, videography and illustration. Through my work, I aim to tell stories that resonate with people on a deep, emotional level. These stories may convey messages of hope, resilience, or the beauty of the human experience. This Point of View is what shapes every aspect of my creative process and is the driving force behind my creative process.
