We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Vansh Sha. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Vansh below.
Vansh, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Have you signed with an agent or manager? Why or why not?
I finally pulled myself together and got myself s manager last week, it has been one of my milestones ever since i landed in the American dream.
I was working on this play, the diary of Anee frank and i was portraying the role of the cruel Nazi officer, and one of the kids from the show, spoke to me about his manager and how well connected she was, i wanted to speak out and ask him for a referral but i was too shy.
The next day he comes to me and said he might have spoken to his manager and that she might be interested in meeting with me.
So, that is how it all started and a lot more stories to build ahead
Vansh, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Ive been a stage actor since the age of 13, it wasn’t the script or it wasn’t movies, it was just something about getting on stage and being loud.
Ever since my first time, now every-time i go, i am only there for my 13 year old self
I soon later joined clubs and groups and started doing theatre and street plays, for my school and university.
I remember always trying to audition and understand film acting. I then joined a small 10 day acting for film workshop in Bangalore with Amith Tharwani, he really helped me understand acting for film, the process was not easy for someone with a stage background, as a lot of unlearning was involved.
Anyways, i did my bachelors in Business Administration because my mom asked me to get a serious degree, and later after the completion of my course, it was time to convince my parents to allow me to sign up for an acting program in the US. It wasn’t as easy as it sounds, it took me a 9 slider power point presentation to convince them
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
The goal thats driving my creative journey, is to achieve a lot of things and have a lot of time towards the end of my life.
I believe Acting would open so many great opportunities and windows in my life to try new things and embrace life better.
I want to earn and return to those that have been around me, and not just them but also trees, sky, rivers, etc.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The most rewarding aspect to me is the intellectual capacity i gained and to understand a simple distinction between perception and perspective.
Often we look around the world and only have a perception towards, only if we changed our views and gained the wisdom of perspective would there be no wars, societies flourished, diseases cured, architecture designed, etc
