Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Vania Bredy. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Vania, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to hear about the things you feel your parents did right and how those things have impacted your career and life.
My mother was a strong woman who invested herself in the lives of her children. As a single mother, she ensured that her kids knew and understood the power of strength, dedication and commitment. We watched her reach goals throughout her life with odds stacked against her. She always persevered and never showed her hand. As children, she created a safe space for us to grow and prosper. We in turn are doing the same for our children. My strength and ability to endure the rigors of life is a direct reflection of what she exemplified as a strong woman.
Vania, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My previous experience working in healthcare led me to believe that I would be successful in entrepreneurship. I learned the inner workings of a healthcare organization from an operational and financial standpoint. My husband and I dreamed of opening our own healthcare practice and we did it. But this was after years of hard work in the industry growing and developing.
If you could go back, would you choose the same profession, specialty, etc.?
If I had to go back…..I would have chosen the same profession. I just would have aligned it with a business track early on. I love healthcare administration, so I wouldn’t change my career choice.
Other than training/knowledge, what do you think is most helpful for succeeding in your field?
I’m a very hands on person. My resilience comes from knowing and understanding what I am managing from beginning to end. If you can’t talk about it in detail, how can you manage it.
