Alright, VANESSA thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. So, naming is such a challenge. How did you come up with the name of your brand?

DE PALMA

in Spanish means ” FROM THE PALM TREE” our main inspo was the place where i grew up. I was raised in a small town in a Peninsula by the ocean in Venezuela, so pretty much i was at the beach my entire childhood (it was like my backyard), i wanted something to be related to the beach and the Caribbean and what’s better than a palm tree?

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

I got into the FASHION industry thanks to my mom who is also a fashion designer and my business partner (this is a mother & daughter business which makes the brand even more special). We design and hand make our pieces, mainly resort wear and swimwear. We love to create and design unique pieces that empowers women, pieces that are long-lasting and sustainable. We make small batches of clothing so i feel like is one of the things that separates us from the rest, unique, sustainable, timeless pieces that you can also customize. We are so proud to be able to create pieces “for women by women” we understand women necessities now a days and our main focus is to bring fashion to all of those hardworking women across the world.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?

I feel like is this 1 o 1 relationship we create with our customers, not only we design the clothing we also help them with the styling, people love the connection we create with them, we like to understand what the customer needs and come up with a great solution. Most of our regulars customers have become great friends!

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?

I feel like is because we have the ability to design pieces for EVERYONE, you can custom made a piece or request a specific fabric, size and style of your liking, this has helped us to build a strong bond with our clients and grow our audience.
