We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Vanessa Peixoto. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Vanessa below.
Alright, Vanessa thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
I spent nearly a decade as a phlebotomist before pursuing nursing school, and that experience shaped the way I approach patient care today. Working with needles every day, I developed not just technical precision, but a deep understanding of how to make patients feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. That skill set stayed with me as I moved into aesthetic medicine, where trust and expertise are just as important as artistry.
I’ve always believed that beauty isn’t about changing who you are. It’s about enhancing your natural features so you feel confident in your own skin. I saw how aesthetic treatments, when done with a careful hand and a trained eye, could restore balance, boost self-esteem, and help people look as vibrant as they feel inside. That’s what drove me to create Dermalier Clinic, a place where every patient feels heard, every treatment is customized, and results are designed to look effortless and refined.
My background in both medical and aesthetic fields allows me to bring a unique level of care and precision to every procedure. Whether it’s injectables, lasers, or biostimulators, my approach is always the same. To create natural, sophisticated results that let you feel like the best version of yourself.
At the heart of Dermalier Clinic is the belief that confidence is powerful. When you feel good in your skin, it reflects in every part of your life. That’s why I do what I do.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I’ve always had a deep connection to the medical field, but my path into aesthetics evolved naturally over time. I started my career as a phlebotomist, working with needles every day for nearly a decade before becoming a bedside nurse. That experience gave me a deep understanding of patient care, from the technical precision required for procedures to the emotional trust that comes with being in a medical setting. Eventually, I became a Family Nurse Practitioner, which allowed me to expand my expertise and help people in a more comprehensive way.
Through all of these experiences, I realized that what truly fulfills me is helping people feel good about themselves. Aesthetics is not just about treatments; it’s about restoring confidence and enhancing natural beauty in a way that feels authentic. My approach is always focused on balance, refinement, and creating results that age gracefully. I don’t believe in trends or drastic transformations. I believe in subtle, sophisticated enhancements that bring out the best in each individual.
What I am most proud of is that every patient who comes in contact with me understands that their well-being, beauty, and self-esteem are my passion. This isn’t just a job for me. It’s my mission. I take the time to educate, listen, and guide my patients through their aesthetic journey, ensuring they feel empowered in their decisions. We are in this together.
I want to be known as the best lip injector in Central Florida, not just for my technique but for my commitment to natural, elegant results. More than that, I want to be recognized as someone who helps people age gracefully, enhancing their beauty in a way that feels effortless and true to them.
This field is always evolving, and I am constantly learning and refining my skills to bring the best treatments to my patients. My goal is to provide results that feel natural, boost confidence, and allow my clients to look and feel like the best version of themselves.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
One of the biggest pivots in my career was transitioning from bedside nursing to aesthetics. For years, I was deeply involved in patient care, first as a phlebotomist, then as a bedside nurse, and later as a Family Nurse Practitioner. I loved working in the medical field, but something was missing. While I was helping patients heal, I realized that my passion extended beyond just treating illness. I wanted to help people feel good about themselves in a different way.
The moment that changed everything for me was when I started exploring aesthetic medicine. I was drawn to the idea that medicine could also be an art, where precision, skill, and a deep understanding of anatomy could be used to restore confidence and enhance natural beauty. I saw firsthand how even the smallest adjustments could make a profound impact on a person’s self-esteem and the way they carry themselves. That was when I knew I needed to make a change.
Pivoting into aesthetics wasn’t just a career shift. It was a complete transformation of how I practiced medicine. I had to step away from the traditional structure of bedside care and dive into a field that required aesthetic vision, artistic precision, and continuous education to master advanced techniques. It was intimidating at first, but I quickly realized that the skills I had built over the years, my precision with needles, my ability to make patients feel comfortable, and my deep understanding of facial anatomy, were exactly what set me apart in this industry.
Now, looking back, I can say without a doubt that it was the right decision. I found a field that allows me to combine my medical expertise with creativity while making a real difference in how people feel about themselves. This pivot wasn’t just about career growth. It was about stepping into a passion that I didn’t even realize had been calling me for years.
Sometimes, the best decisions come from listening to what truly excites you, even when it means stepping outside your comfort zone.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
Resilience has been a defining part of my journey, both in life and in my career. One of the moments that tested me the most was making the leap from traditional medicine into aesthetics. It was not just a career shift. It was a complete rebuilding of my skills, mindset, and confidence in an entirely different field.
When I first started, I quickly realized that aesthetic medicine was not just about knowing how to inject. It required an artistic eye, deep anatomical knowledge, and a level of precision that came with years of practice. I was stepping into an industry where experience mattered, and I had to prove myself in a highly competitive space.
There were moments of doubt. There were times I questioned if I was making the right move. Unlike traditional nursing, where I had years of experience and confidence in my abilities, here I was starting at the beginning again. I knew I had the medical expertise, the steady hands, and the patient-care skills, but I had to push myself to master the artistic side of aesthetics.
Instead of letting the challenge intimidate me, I leaned into it. I trained relentlessly, took advanced courses, and learned from the best in the industry. I spent hours studying facial anatomy, refining techniques, and perfecting my craft. I sought out every opportunity to grow, and little by little, I built my name and reputation.
The turning point came when my clients started returning, referring their friends, and telling me that they trusted me not just because of my skill, but because of my approach. They knew that I was not just providing a treatment. I was listening, educating, and ensuring that every result was natural and personalized. That was when I knew that all the hard work, long hours, and challenges were worth it.
Resilience is not just about pushing through difficulty. It is about adapting, evolving, and believing in yourself even when things feel uncertain. Looking back, I am grateful for every challenge because it shaped me into the practitioner I am today. I would not change a thing.
