Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Vanessa Kundo. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Vanessa , thanks for joining us today. We’d love to hear about the things you feel your parents did right and how those things have impacted your career and life.
It wasn’t really my parents who shaped me the most—it was my grandparents on my mom’s side. They gave me the freedom to explore, create, and dream. They never did everything for me—instead, they encouraged me to figure things out on my own. That built a kind of independence in me that I carry to this day.
They always reminded me that mindset is everything. My grandpa especially had this quiet wisdom about him. He used to say that if you believe in yourself and trust the process, you’ll go far. He’s passed now, but his words still guide me through so much in my life and work. I can still feel him with me in those moments where I want to give up but choose not to.
I think back to being a kid and wanting to start little businesses or get creative with things. They didn’t roll their eyes or tell me to sit down—they supported it. They let me learn, try, fail, and figure it out. That kind of encouragement gave me the courage to build a life and career where I trust myself and believe in possibility.
Their influence is a big part of who I am.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Hi, I’m Vanessa—a spiritual life coach, holistic esthetician, and self-love advocate based in Perham, Minnesota. I wear a few hats, but at the center of everything I do is one mission: to help women come home to themselves. Whether it’s through skincare, energy work, or mindset coaching, I hold space for healing—mind, body, and soul.
I got into this work because I’ve been on my own deep healing journey. I know what it’s like to feel disconnected from yourself, unsure of your worth, and stuck in survival mode. For me, healing didn’t come from just one thing—it was a mix of somatic work, inner child healing, spiritual practices, and learning how to truly care for myself inside and out. That’s what I now offer to others: a path back to their own power and peace.
Through my brand, Cosmic Collective, I provide a blend of holistic services that support self-love, nervous system regulation, and spiritual growth. That includes:
• Facials that go beyond skincare, blending energy work and intentional touch
• Reiki and sound healing to clear emotional blockages and restore balance
• Somatic coaching to help clients reconnect with their bodies and shift their mindset
• Subliminal audio tools infused with Reiki to rewire limiting beliefs
• Retreats and workshops that bring women together for transformation, community, and connection
What sets me apart is that I don’t just offer surface-level solutions. I combine inner work with outer care. A facial with me might include breathwork and affirmations. A sound bath might lead into journaling and breakthroughs. I create experiences that leave you glowing—not just on the outside, but from the inside out.
I work primarily with women who are ready to take care of themselves on a deeper level—women who are tired of just “getting by” and want to feel connected, confident, and seen. My clients come to me feeling overwhelmed, burnt out, or disconnected. They leave feeling held, supported, and reconnected to their purpose.
What I’m most proud of is that I’ve built a business that feels like a reflection of my heart. This isn’t just work to me—it’s a calling. And every woman I get to serve is a reminder of why I’m doing this.
If there’s one thing I want people to know about me and my work, it’s that healing doesn’t have to be cold or clinical. It can be soft. It can be creative. It can feel like home. And you don’t have to do it alone.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
One of the most pivotal moments in my personal and professional journey came when I made the decision to leave a long-term relationship that, while familiar, was no longer healthy or sustainable—for myself, my partner, or our five children. It wasn’t an easy choice. In fact, it required me to walk away from the entire business I had built from the ground up and relocate three hours away to start over in a brand new city.
I left behind my clientele, my community, and the comfort of what I knew. I was heartbroken, burned out, and deeply disconnected from my sense of confidence and self-worth. But that moment of personal upheaval became the foundation for a powerful transformation.
Starting over forced me to rebuild—not just my business, but myself. I leaned into everything I had once guided others through: mindset work, somatic healing, energy alignment, and a return to inner truth. It was from that place of vulnerability and resilience that I created the next version of my business—one that is more aligned, more soulful, and more impactful than ever before.
Today, I run Cosmic Collective, where I help women reconnect with themselves through holistic skincare, Reiki, sound healing, somatic coaching, and retreats. I hold space for women who are navigating burnout, life transitions, or the feeling that they’ve lost touch with themselves. My own journey taught me that healing isn’t linear, and it isn’t surface-level—it’s deep, embodied, and transformational. That’s the work I now offer to others.
I’m proud that I not only rebuilt, but created something even more aligned and purposeful. It’s my mission to remind other women that even in the face of starting over, you are never too far gone. You can rise. You can heal. And you can thrive.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
A big lesson I had to unlearn was the belief that “life just happens to you.” For a long time, I carried this idea that my circumstances were fixed—that I was dealt a certain hand, and I just had to make the best of it. I didn’t realize how much power I actually had to shift my experience.
The turning point came during one of the hardest seasons of my life—leaving a long-term relationship, moving with five kids, and walking away from the business I had built. It would’ve been easy to fall into a victim mindset. But through my healing work—especially somatic practices, mindset shifts, and spiritual alignment—I started to understand that how I see my life shapes how I live it.
Once I shifted my lens—from “Why is this happening to me?” to “What is this teaching me?”—everything changed. I realized I was the one creating my reality through my thoughts, energy, and choices. That didn’t mean ignoring hard things—it meant meeting them with more intention and power.
Unlearning that old narrative gave me my life back. It’s a huge part of the work I now do with women—helping them reclaim their ability to create a life that actually feels aligned, empowering, and true.
