We were lucky to catch up with Vanessa Green recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Vanessa, thanks for joining us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?

My mission is to give others what I was not given. It is my mission to reach women of all ages and stages in life who are seeking personal change in their mindset through self-discovery, intentional healing work, and personal growth as they discover or re-discover their passion, clarity of direction and purpose through practical application, empowerment, inspiration, and mindset transformation.

Everything I do is centered around not only showing women how to find their voice, but empowering them to use their voice. I have always had a heart of service, a passion for encouraging women and seeing them become the highest versions of themselves. I have always had a passion for equipping, empowering and inspiring women to show up and do the work to mentally, spiritually, and emotionally heal and ultimately, transforming their mindset and their lives.

I understand what it is to feel stagnant while searching for fulfillment and purpose.I strongly believe my renewed commitment and obedience to God has afforded me the great fortune to walk confidently in my God given purpose to not only serve God’s people but to edify God’s people to see their own light, strength; and help them reach their maximum potential, walk in their God given purpose, and experience all that God has for them.

Vanessa, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

I offer Mindset Transformation Coaching and Mentoring to those that seek to gain clarity, perspective and direction as you discover, rediscover, and fulfill your purpose. I am also an Empowerment and Transformative Speaker. I also offer masterclasses on mindset transformation, stagnancy, and accountability.

I am a three time Bestselling Author- The Coaches Connect, Volumes I and II and The Butterfly Emerges: The Journey to a Transformed Mindset and a Transformed Life. and Podcast Host of Transformative Talk with Coach V.

What sets me a part is that I am transparent, vulnerable, honest, tough but fair. I challenge my clients, listeners, and followers alike to show up and do the work and do it in the confidence of knowing that I am there every step of the way. We show up for one another, we do the work together, we hold each other accountable, we uplift each other, we celebrate wins together.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?

I had to learn that what I have to say matters and that my words have the power to transform the heart, thoughts, and words of an individual.

I have battled imposter syndrome for many years and have oftentimes questioned the call on my life and if I really had purpose. I have spent a lot of times feeling insecure and questioned whether I have purpose and anything of value to offer to the world. I shied away from speaking up and offering my thoughts or contributing to a conversation because I really felt no one cared.

During the pandemic, God admonished me to begin to write and express His heart to His people. Slowly but surely, purpose began to unfold. I have learned to walk confidently in God’s purpose for my life and not to question His voice.

I am now teaching and empowering women to be intentional, do their healing work, and walk in their God given purpose.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?

I am actually in the midst of pivoting in my business, career, and life. For the last five years, I have been so focused on coaching individuals in discovering their purpose which has been so fulfilling. However, I have come to the realization that it is now it is time to shift to something completely outside of my comfort zone. There are many things that have changed in my life in the last few months that have caused me to have to reevaluate and now I have to pivot to meet the need of the people. What I now realize is that my purpose has shifted and is and three fold:

To represent Christ and the Kingdom

To present Christ to those that do not know Him

To REpresent Christ to those that may have forgotten Him
