We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Vanessa Cesar a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Vanessa, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?

Behind becoming a Confidence Influencer, my mission is to spread CONFIDENCE. Im not talking about minutes of confidence to snap a couple pictures, add filters and feel worthy for time being on social media. The Confidence I share helps others to be ready and stay ready for life’s experiences. Those experiences are Mentally, Emotionally, Spiritually, Financially & Physically.

The way this came about is actually by just me being me, Vanessa C. I have always been that girl who’s always cheerful, helpful no matter what life has thrown at her. Im considered what everyone called the “Strong” friend, but I call it the light that shines in all darkness. Starting with close friends, to their friends, family members and even strangers. With me, you are in a total judge-free zone as I believe that is the reason I am known to many and highly favored. I’ve always carried a positive mindset, attitude and motivated others whenever and where ever I went no matter the circumstances. This is where I grew my passion; to help others and the confidence to do so. I grew to be that person I wish I had when I was little. I grew to be that person to count on through tough times and that’s what kept me going. The ability to see everyone’s transformation and growth from having a person like me in their life. When life throws bricks, I catch them and build something out of it! In the words of many, Life is the best teacher ever. It takes depression to know happiness. Stress to understand calmness and absence to value presence. I consider myself certified in bouncing back. I find the light in any situation, and I will continue to do so.

Overall, by helping others, I helped myself.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers

I am Vanessa Cesar, a woman of many hats and currently adding more. In my daily life I am a CMA working in the Sports Medicine Department in Fort Lauderdale, FL. As of August 15, 2022 I am now a First Generation College graduate, which I studied Sociology in Crime in hopes to later become a Homicide Detective. I am also a Travel Agent, helping others create memories while they Earn a Bag, Save a Bag & Pack a Bag. I am most known for my overall mission in life which is to spread Confidence. Through all life experiences I show others that I don’t make excuses, I make changes until it’s done and I am assisting others to gain the same Courage.

In all honestly, getting to the place where I am now have not been a smooth road. I have been through a variety of situations most didn’t find themselves out of. For example, I’ve been sexually assaulted at the age of 19 and I was falsely arrested in the year of 2020 . Behind all that pain and breakthrough, I birthed a purpose. Through all that I’ve gone through, I’ve birthed wisdom to share with the world. I am truly an example of “Your past or present circumstances does not define who you are” and I’ll continue to present that.

I am most proud of my drive, to be able to do and become all that I envision. I believe in using all 24 hours in a day, With the help of God, I have the ability to get all that I want and I WILL. When connected to me the main thing I want people to know is that, you grow through what you go through. Even though it hurts, it’s not always meant to destroy you. Some of the days I thought was my worst was actually the pathway to my BEST. When it comes to assisting others to let their life reflect that, I have a motivation platform, that allow any and everyone to connect with me. You receive daily motivation and have the opportunity to speak back to me, yes I do respond. Right now I motivating individuals from all over from the ages 16 to 43 years old, all genders.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?

One lesson I can say I had to unlearn to learn throughout life is that “Your Past doesn’t define you unless you allow it to”.

To many this may sound cliche, but it’s true. As said previously I’ve been through stages of life that developed trauma, depression, doubt, I can name them all if I had to. Through those times I carried so much guilt and shame thinking now this was just something I would have to live by, the things that happened to me. For example, my weight gain came from the love I lost for myself back then when the assault happened. I used to be that girl who would say “I might as well because no one won’t want me after this happened to me and I no longer trust anybody.” I was always on defense mode, not letting anyone in and kicking everyone out. I was searching for more danger than protection until I was faced with issues and sick and tired to where I knew better but didn’t do better.

Fast forward, those same lessons has shaped me to who I am today.
