We recently connected with Vanesa Sonea and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Vanesa, thanks for joining us today. Learning the craft is often a unique journey from every creative – we’d love to hear about your journey and if knowing what you know now, you would have done anything differently to speed up the learning process.
I learned by experience and by watching others. When I first got into the world of modeling, I was insecure and unsure of how everything worked. I started practicing posing techniques, runway walks, attended workshops, did research online, did test shoots, and started booking work. I think I could have sped up the process by ignoring distractions, not listening to those who doubted me, and fully believing in myself. Although it could have sped up the process, I also learned through experiencing hardships. No matter what you do, perseverance and consistency are key skills that will help you get to where you want to be.

Vanesa, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
For modeling, it was simply a hobby at first, and as I kept working, it turned into a passion and a career! Meanwhile, I was in school pursuing a business degree, which helped me develop a professional and business-oriented mindset in whatever workplace I decided to pursue. I provide an outstanding experience where one is looking to promote their brand or business to a deeper level. As a model, brand rep, and marketing specialist, I can be the face as well as the brains – with an in depth campaign creation, brand analysis, including ROI and ad targeting for potential clients.
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
Time and relationships helped shape and build my reputation within my market. It definitely took time to build my credibility and sharpen my craft, but it also took maintaining and building certain relationships with those I have worked with in the past. I always want everyone I meet and work with to feel comfortable and at ease, while also having a good time in order to create an unforgettable experience.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
I am on the incline of building my social media presence myself. My best advice is to find what you love to post and be consistent with it. Interacting with the audience will more likely have them stick around. Reels are another great tool- which is something I am still working on myself!
