We were lucky to catch up with Valeriana Wick recently and have shared our conversation below.

Valeriana, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.

I am a Women Veteran Owned Business, I served in the Army for 22 + years. The passion for making beauty products comes from personal skin issues. After retirement. I began to have a lot of skin issues. In seeking treatment, I was prescribe many medications that had a lot of side effects. I borrowed from my up bring (Half-Native American), lending into my ancestral teaching, I began finding alternatives to skin medication, developing my knowledge in herbs and botanical herbs and their beauty properties.

Hence, the passion and love for making herbal beauty/body products began and Beautifully Simple Soap L.L.C., was created.

From my learning I have been able to develop and create quality products that are natural and very helpful in treating and caring for your skin.

Owning a natural skin care products business, comes with many challenges. You are competing with commercial products that individuals have relied on for decades. Many individual are unaware of the benefits of all natural products or are doubtful.

Trough out the years of starting my business, I faced many up and downs, more downs then up in the beginning.. However, believing in the purpose of the products is what kept me going., consistency and passion is what has me continue running my business.
