Hi Valentine, thanks for joining us today. Can you share a story with us from back when you were an intern or apprentice? Maybe it’s a story that illustrates an important lesson you learned or maybe it’s a just a story that makes you laugh (or cry)?

I did an apprenticeship with my imagination.
That has completely changed my life.
In the world of spiritual teachings, it is often said that “the teacher is within”. Yet what does that mean and how does one access this inner teacher?
I had been studying the work of Neville Goddard who is a teacher of imagination and manifestation. He spoke of choosing a “desired state”. There are many states to choose from, infinite choices. One in particular called to me and I decided to embark upon becoming the person who has this desired outcome. Living as if the wish is already fulfilled.
What I received and continue to receive is a way to activate spiritual awakening, connection to the cosmos, self healing and more. Also I have learned the often dismissed role imagination plays in our everyday lives. It is actually intrinsic to who we are and the life we are creating..

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

I have multiple things I offer and they are all under the umbrella of Born Free Natural Mystic a business my husband William Sprague and I run together.
On my own I do Oracle medicine sessions and I work one on one with people offering spiritual counsel and coaching. I teach classes and I also do psilocybin sits for people.
I would say every aspect of our business and what I do reflects our values, interests, and creative expression.
Oracle medicine sessions is the culmination of my years doing shamanic journeying. In 2020 I worked with a mentor within her mystery school to merge my seership with this experience of journeying.. I journey on behalf of my client and their intention for the session.
Entheogens have been an imperative part of my healing and getting free from alcohol addiction. I really don’t know who I would be or how I would have arrived at this place of wellness without them. It is my humble honor to return the favor to those interested in working with them.
My husband and I both get so much fulfillment from all the customers and clients we work with who receive healing, delight, liberation, freedom from pain, freedom from depression and so much more.
We offer creations and products we work with and want to share with others.
My husband and I often say we are “born free natural mystics”.

Putting training and knowledge aside, what else do you think really matters in terms of succeeding in your field?

There was a point in our business that we had so many orders everyday it actually felt overwhelming. I started feeling like I was just an employee of Born Free Natural Mystic. I was no longer enjoying what I loved about being self employed which was to do a business that reflects our values and passions yet also lets me live those passions. Often people are so excited to make more money that it’s easy to lose the self in the new found revenue stream and business success.
We had to make some change and actually there was a some cosmic intervention. Now we are enjoying a matched revenue and increase without that “hustle” energy or becoming a worker bee where your business consumes your whole life. Our business feels more organic and aligned.
I/we became self employed to support our lives and enjoy daily freedom as well as supporting ourselves financially.
Staying true to why we have a business and how we want it to support us and our clientele the more our intention generates innovation and potentials unavailable to us had we just let the money dictate our mode of operation.

Training and knowledge matter of course, but beyond that what do you think matters most in terms of succeeding in your field?

We care! We care about the people who support our business and we put human interaction and human engagement first. This means so much to all that we engage with. They feel cared for and this is what keeps us connected to each other and our humanity.
