Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Valentina Grandesso. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Valentina thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Can you talk to us about a project that’s meant a lot to you?
Here’s a friendlier and more coherent version of your passage:
—
As a wellness and sustainability copywriter, one of my favorite projects was working with one of my very first clients: a holistic health platform for healers. Imagine it as the Airbnb for holistic healing services.
We live in a time when there is a growing need for a deeper understanding of ourselves, and I wanted to make my small contribution to this amazing project.
To pitch my services, I prepared a special package for them: a blog post, three Instagram posts ready to be published, and a newsletter they could use—whether they decided to hire me or not.
A couple of days later, after battling a lot of self-doubt, I got hired!
I was in charge of the email newsletter and blogs. Slowly but surely, I started to see the platform grow, driving more traffic and attracting more clients. People were sharing how helpful they found the services, how professional the pool of healers was, and, most importantly, how much they needed an all-in-one platform to find these kinds of services.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I am an SEO copywriter for sustainable and wellness brands.
I was born and raised in Italy and have been an expat in Dubai since 2016. Before moving here, I had never even heard of this place.
Isn’t it funny how life can surprise us?
Dubai is just like you see it in the movies: a place where everything seems possible and achievable. It’s thanks to the network I built here that I was able to become a copywriter.
Today, I am a creative copywriter for coaches, healers, and purpose-driven sustainable businesses. I love seeing businesses transform from simple concepts into impactful ventures with values worth sharing and amplifying.
With my business, The Alternative Copy, I help mental health practitioners, coaches of all kinds, healers, and sustainable businesses. They all share one mission: to empower others.
My services range from website copywriting and email marketing to mentorship for junior copywriters. I also offer strategy sessions for those looking for a more customized approach.

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
I’ve always believed in the power of community, and it’s thanks to my network that I found my very first clients.
Even though I’m not exactly a social butterfly, I push myself to attend social and networking events every month.
Have you ever noticed how much easier it is to connect with someone when you meet face-to-face?
It’s like that first barrier disappears, and suddenly turning a stranger into a client feels so much more natural.
You never know who might be in that person’s circle—maybe even someone who could change your life! Isn’t it exciting to think about the possibilities?
I love the saying, “Your network is your net worth.” It perfectly sums up why building meaningful connections is so important.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
Oh, I love this question! I was actually talking to a friend about it just this morning.
As a creative and freelance service provider, there’s nothing more rewarding than when clients come back to you for your opinion on what they’re doing. It’s wonderful when they genuinely care about your input and see you as a professional rather than “just a service provider.”
Early in my career, I often compromised because of limiting beliefs and self-doubt. I was afraid to give my honest opinion, especially when it was different from what the client was doing.
But you know what?
That was the opposite of what clients actually wanted.
Today, I’m much more confident and act more like a consultant, and I’ve seen how much clients appreciate that.
