Valentina , appreciate you joining us today. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?

I started making my own candles using all natural and organic ingredients because of my asthma, which I’ve had since birth. When my family and friends saw the work I was doing, they began to encourage me so that other people with the same health problem as me could enjoy a candle and not have to worry about their health afterward. And that’s how all of this began to grow and have an incredible feedback from the public.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

Vale’s Candles offers a variety of decorative and jar candles that are all handmade, with natural and organic ingredients that make them safe for the whole family. Each candle is unique and that’s why each candle is so special.

Okay – so how did you figure out the manufacturing part? Did you have prior experience?

I make everything from scratch. I put together wax, scent, wick, and creativity. I took two different courses in which I learned different techniques and how to use the right materials for each occasion. At first, it wasn’t easy to find the right product, but with patience and dedication, I was able to achieve it.

Do you sell on your site, or do you use a platform like Amazon, Etsy, Cratejoy, etc?

I have my own online store where I sell almost all of my products, and this way I can reach a wider market, but the negative aspect of the online market is that the customer has to see the product through a photo and cannot appreciate the delicacy and detail of the final product.
