We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Valentin Quiroga. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Valentin below.
Valentin, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?
I believe that success can mean different things to different people. For some, it may involve spending time with family, pursuing their passions, staying healthy, and appreciating life’s wonders. For others, success might revolve around running a business and earning a good income. Success is a subjective term, but one common trait among those who achieve it is doing what they are good at and enjoy, dedicating years to practice and gain experience, and investing in learning and self-improvement. You need to maintain consistency and overcome obstacles.

Valentin, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
When I was young, I struggled with my body weight. At 14, I joined a local gym and began weight training. This sparked my passion for understanding the human body and how to train and eat to build muscle and lose fat. I pursued a bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology in college, and while training hundreds of clients, I developed the tools and knowledge to help them reach their fitness goals. Since then, I have helped many people transform their bodies and achieve the best version of themselves. There is so much pleasure in the process of helping people reach their potential.

Have you ever had to pivot?
The most critical time in my life was back in 2020 when my wife and I decided to leave Argentina and move to the US. We had a very successful company back then, and I was very popular among fitness professionals due to my knowledge and expertise in my field. However, we were not satisfied with the quality of life we were experiencing, so we decided to take a leap of faith and emigrate to a new country.

Are there any books, videos, essays or other resources that have significantly impacted your management and entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy?
Throughout my life, I have read many books, but only a few have had a profound impact on me. Ayn Rand’s works, such as “The Virtue of Selfishness,” “The Fountainhead,” and “Atlas Shrugged,” are among those that have left a lasting impression. I resonate with the principles of her philosophy, which emphasize the importance of free human beings who use their minds and reason to pursue their happiness, the most valuable purpose in life.
