We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Vaja. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Vaja below.
Vaja, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Can you talk to us about a project that’s meant a lot to you?
My new single is a cover of Depeche Mode’s “People Are People,” which I co-produced with Oscar-Nominated & Award Winning film composer Steve Horner. This classic anthem means so much to me because it’s about uniting humanity & ending racism.
I also released our new music video “People Are People” at the legendary Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, California. It was my directorial debut that captures the essence of my vision among a plethora of different people, living in a cyberpunk dystopia world. In the end, they all realize that we are all connected as one & that we must love one another.
Vaja, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Since I was a little girl, I was always inspired by the vinyl records my parents & brother would play for me such as; Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Blondie, Depeche Mode, The Cure & Metallica to name a few.
At a young age, my mother would take me to so many cool concerts & get us backstage so we could meet my favorite bands & artists.
The moment she took me to see Depeche Mode & Metallica perform, I knew that music was my calling and that I wanted to be a Rock Star like my idols! Mesmerized by this experience ignited my passion for Electronic Rock Music.
I started playing electric guitar all because of Metallica at the age of 12 after seeing them live at the Hoosier Dome in Carmel, Indiana opening for Guns N’ Roses. After seeing Metallica, I told my mother I wanted to play guitar so she bought me my 1st Fender II Stratocaster & a Crate GX-40C Guitar Combo Amp. I then locked myself in my room and started to listen to my favorite bands on repeat learning to play guitar by ear.
My mother eventually became my manager, we moved to Hollywood & the rest is history…. I am most proud of always staying true to myself as a Recording Artist & being a positive role model.

How can we best help foster a strong, supportive environment for artists and creatives?
In my eyes, it is vital that our society supports creative Artists by streaming our music, going to our concerts, buying merchandise, etc., because Artists create the soundtrack to our lives. Music can change the world and unite humanity.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
Passion Fuels Purpose… My mission that drives my creative journey is to inspire humanity with my innovative music and vision on how I see the world as an Artist.
