We caught up with the brilliant and insightful V. Marie Moring a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

V. Marie , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What’s the kindest thing anyone has ever done for you?

2008 I was really bummed out from a troubled marriage and wanting to be home more often with my young daughters. I was teaching and praise dancing at my community church every Sunday.. One Sunday, one of the faithful members asked my why I didn’t have a dance studio business of my own because I was so gifted. I never even thought that was possible for me. She then offered me an opportunity that changed my life. She had some commercial space that she wasn’t using and offered me the opportunity to utilize it as a dance studio and give business a go. That was the answer to my prayer. I could open a dance studio and have my children with me. I accepted and the rest is history.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers

In 2019 right before the pandemic hit, I completed my first book called, “What’s the BEST that can happen?!”

I also launched my second business called, Prime Numbers Financial Services.

I have over 10 years’ experience in the finance industry from tax preparation to corporate consultation I have helped thousands of people over my career to realize their financial goals and business objectives. Using my Project Management acumen and pairing it with my strategies and business finance acumen, I am able to steer clients in a streamline to success. My passion for finance comes from personal experience and the journey to becoming financially fulfilled. The strategies I use in this business have been tried and tested by me personally, and now I share them to help others gain and maintain financial footing as well. PNFS was created in 2019 to help residence and businesses build a solid financial foundation on which a profitable future can be obtained. I believe that if your money is managed correctly and remains in compliance, then there’s no limit to what one can accomplish. I am a professional service provider and I have very high integrity and privacy policies that ensure your personal and business information is safe with me. In addition to my college education and certifications held, I continue to learn and stay abreast on financial news and changes to remain relevant in the industry with up-to-date services being offered. Things change fast and often in the finance world and with me you get an ever-evolving expert always looking for new and fresh opportunities to manage and grow your money. What I do is critically listen to your stories, visions and goals for your family and/or business. With this information, I then create a framework that provides specific action steps and outcomes that when employed puts you in a position to go, grow, and prosper.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?

Pivot has truly become a buzz word in society. Covid-19 put everyone in a space to become innovative in effort to maintain and stay afloat. It was not different for me. I had just opened my second business and my first business, the dance company, came to a halt. The entire world found themselves quarantined. That’s when a pivot was in order. I had a handful of customers in my new business and financial planning was the last thing on people’s minds during a major time in our world history. I found out that everyone was flocking to Tiktok as an escape of boredom. To my surprise, they were doing my favorite and best thing to do in the whole world, Dancing! I then decided to jump on and dance too! To my surprise, I went viral and caught the attention of the entire world. My dance company tripled in business online during a Pandemic. Then I was able to build community trust and introduce myself and a Financial professional to my millions of viewers. That was the pivot of a lifetime.

How did you build your audience on social media?

As a social media giant. I have built a strong community of supporters. 3 things that helped me grow and sustain are; 1. transparency- being myself and remaining honest with my following every step of the way. Not appearing too good to be true and showing my flaws and my successes.
2. Consistency- not changing up the main theme of my content too much. The want to know what they will mainly see when visiting my page.
3. Give back- offering your viewers something valuable in exchange for their commitment to helping you soar in your influence and business.
