We were lucky to catch up with Uriel Sanchez recently and have shared our conversation below.
Uriel, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Do you take vacations? Why or why not?
I take small road trip vacations at least once a month I think everyone needs to get away from their daily routines and to on an adventure
Go somewhere unknown and explore
Make memories and reset

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I got into photography gradually throughout my life. Always interested in the craft but didn’t get to actually get into it till I was 24 years old when me and my friend were trying to make a music video. I researched what cameras I can get on a budget, something that was good enough to shoot a video for YouTube.
Got the camera but didn’t know how to use it , thru the power of the internet and YouTube I thought myself how to use my camera and everything kept going from there.
The main problems I faced at the beginning was how to market myself and how to price my services.
I’m most proud of the person I became because of my profession
I became a person of service, more confident and skillful photographer.
Because of that I was able to get my own creative studio space.
Have you ever had to pivot?
Back in 2019 I received an instagram message from someone. This someone invited me to a seminar
He told me that I’ll be a great way to promote my business and he’ll give me a few minutes to speak in front of 40 potential clients.
I replied and said yes I’ll be there
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
Back in 2016 I was doing a photoshoot at the beach I accidentally feel in the water with my $4000 camera and destroyed it
Got a throat infection from swallowing dirty ocean water.
Next day I had to shoot a 10hr wedding
Needed 3 cameras for that event
I had to go rent a camera last minute
Next day I’m severely sick from that throat infection, had a fever the whole day and it was 105 degrees in the middle of July.
Still I was able to come up with some awesome shots for my client.
