We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Undissassembled a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Undissassembled, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?
Recently, we have embarked on our longest tour yet. It has not only tested us mentally and physically but has also made us the strongest we have ever been. Of course, there have been a lot of classic tour shenanigans, like being too broke to eat, barely making it to the next city with the fuel tank on E, and other stuff that we’re not allowed to say. Putting it together was the hardest part, emails and messages with no response, and even more “no sorry, my drummer is going to be in the Bahamas that weekend”. How? You’re a punk! Go back and practice that d-beat before you earn our beach time, cowboy.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
We have been nerds all of our lives. Within the last six years, we have realized this outlet we have to express our creativeness, and are eternally grateful for anyone that puts up with our bs. Locally, Regionally, Online, nationwide. we play fast, loud, and all sing. We’re kinda picky eaters though… no fish, onions, I don’t even think I’ve seen one guy eat anything green if I’m being honest…. but we’re all burger fans, with an attitude more fierce than Henry Rollins after sitting in a box truck from Bakersfield, CA to Las Vegas….. hot drive huh??
We just released our 2025 Promo and have been on a West Coast tour these last three weeks in support of it. We worked very hard on it, and have been very pleased with its release. Only the real ones have stuck around this long anyway. Our new album is done and will be coming out later this year with two singles/music videos. Stay tuned. But till then, come to a show, listen to the promo, say hi to Joe, make that dough, and let’s go!!!!!!!!
Can you share your view on NFTs? (Note: this is for education/entertainment purposes only, readers should not construe this as advice)
Yeah, a JPG that costs money? What if I photoscan it and print it all over my roof. Is it still yours? What if I make it into a smoothie. Since it’s in my body do you still own it? It’s digital. We are physical. Support your local artists and stop wasting your time on worthless pictures that you can’t even jo to. There’s no point, bro. Physical media will always top it.
In your view, what can society to do to best support artists, creatives and a thriving creative ecosystem?
One thing that always keeps the bowl fresh is new things. Don’t be afraid to go out there and suck. We did for four years and still do, but we’re a little better, and that’s progress. If you have an idea, MAKE IT. ACT ON IT. It is worth it. And you have to get through the mud to get to the treasure right? So don’t get discouraged, no one hates you. Yeah you might suck but you didn’t do anything wrong. It is change that people look for, so get better, and improve, create more, and you might see some familiar patterns. But don’t listen to me. We still suck.
