Undergroundjax, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Your ability to build a team is often a key determinant of your success as a business owner and so we’d love to get a conversation going with successful entrepreneurs like yourself around what your recruiting process was like -especially early on. How did you build your team?

Originally the team started with 15 members then quickly grew to 30. For about 2 years we cycled through at-least 60 other associates until we settled on a solid 11 that make up the team now!

Recruiting was definitely the easy part. That process consisted of conducting several interest meetings in which we discuss what everyone brings to the table.

Literally Everyone wants to be apart of something new an exciting. More often than not, for those less dedicated, that feeling fades pretty quickly. So in retrospect, if I were starting today, I’d make the selection process more vigorous to really hone in on everyone strengths and weakness before hiring.

Simply put #Undergroundjax Is a media promotion group, made for the sole purpose of spreading creativity Within Jacksonville FL to all surrounding areas. We give creatives a space for their art or craft to exist.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?

The most important thing about building an audience is staying consistent. Once I started consistently doing events and pushing the branding I started to see growth rather quickly.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?

My reputation is built on transparency. Conducting honest business especially in entertainment goes a long way.
