Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Ulysse Loquinte. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Ulysse, thanks for joining us today. One of our favorite things to hear about is stories around the nicest thing someone has done for someone else – what’s the nicest thing someone has ever done for you?
The kindest thing anyone has ever done for me was buy the equipment and supplies to help me get started knowing I was unable to afford them at the time. They are a big reason as to why I am here today and why Made by Ulysse Truly even exists!

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers?
I started getting involved in the arts in middle school during the Friendster, MySpace, and Tumblr days. I learned how to create a website following my dad’s footsteps and then went down a rabbit hole following tutorials on how to make glitter graphics on Photoshop (if you know, you know) to put on my website and social media accounts. One tutorial led me to another and somehow led me to paper crafts. I started out with simple bi-fold birthday/holiday cards that I would tape to my friends’ lockers in high school. Then I came across scrapbooking tutorials and how to create a whole album entirely of cardstock paper instead of buying pre-made albums. I was gifted a Cricut machine to help me make die-cut elements for my albums, which then led me to the endless possibilities of Cricut crafts. So I am really thankful for my friend and online resources, such as Google and Youtube, for literally opening doors for me and helping me expand my interest!
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
A simple share and shoutout can REALLY go a long way! It always amazes me when I get a random DM from someone I don’t know and they tell me that they were recommended by a friend.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
For me, the most rewarding aspect is finishing the project and seeing your thought process come to life, especially after hours and hours of trying to put it all together. And then seeing your client’s smiles when they see the finished product!
