Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Ujwal Sharma. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Ujwal, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Do you take vacations? How do you keep things going – any advice for entrepreneurs who feel like they can’t step away from their business for a short vacation?
As an entrepreneur and digital marketing coach, I absolutely believe in the importance of taking vacations. While it can be challenging to step away from the business I’ve poured my heart and soul into, I’ve learned that regular breaks are essential for maintaining creativity, productivity, and overall well-being. To keep things running smoothly during my time off, I’ve implemented several strategies that have proven effective.
First and foremost, I’ve invested time in building a reliable team and establishing clear processes. This groundwork ensures that day-to-day operations can continue without constant oversight. I also make it a point to plan vacations well in advance, allowing ample time to prepare my team and clients for my absence. Clear communication about expectations and responsibilities during this period is crucial.
Additionally, I leverage technology to stay connected when necessary. While I aim to fully disconnect, I set aside a brief window each day to address any urgent matters. This approach gives me peace of mind while still allowing for genuine relaxation. I’ve found that most issues can wait, and giving my team the autonomy to handle challenges often leads to their growth and increased confidence.
To fellow entrepreneurs who feel they can’t step away, I would say this: remember that your business benefits when you’re at your best. Taking time to recharge isn’t a luxury; it’s an investment in your long-term success and the sustainability of your venture. Start small if needed – even a long weekend can work wonders. As you build systems and trust in your team, longer breaks will become more feasible. Your business should be able to thrive without your constant presence – if it can’t, that’s a sign that you need to reassess and strengthen your operational structure.
Ultimately, the ability to take vacations is a testament to the resilience and strength of your business. It’s not just about enjoying time off; it’s about creating a sustainable enterprise that can flourish even when you’re not at the helm. So, plan that getaway – your future self, and your business, will thank you for it.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Thank you for this opportunity to introduce myself and my work. I’m Ujwal Sharma, an entrepreneur, investor, and digital marketer. I’m the Founder and CEO of Uzi World Digital, one of India’s fastest-growing digital marketing and PR solutions firms, as well as the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Empire Weekly, an international award-winning Internet news publishing company.
My journey in the digital marketing industry began when I was just 16 years old. In August 2019, I founded Uzi World Digital, which started as an Instagram page. The company gained significant popularity in December 2020 when we won the India Digital Enabler Awards 2020 for the best use of social media, an event organized by Entrepreneur.com. This recognition was a pivotal moment for us, validating our innovative approach to digital marketing and setting the stage for our future growth.
At Uzi World Digital, we specialize in helping entrepreneurs, celebrities, and other individuals gain recognition through digital PR and increase their sales through online advertising. With over 6 years of experience in digital marketing, I’ve had the privilege of helping numerous Indian and foreign companies enhance their online presence.
What sets us apart is our commitment to staying at the forefront of digital marketing trends and our personalized approach to each client’s needs. We’re constantly looking for new and innovative ways to drive results for our clients, and I’m always eager to share my expertise and resources to help them reach their goals.
I’m deeply honored to have received several awards recognizing our work, including:
1. The India 500 CEO Awards 2022, which recognized me as one of the top CEOs in India
2. The Indian Achievers’ Award 2020
These accolades validate our efforts and inspire us to continue pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in digital marketing.
In addition to Uzi World Digital, I’m also passionate about my role as the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Empire Weekly. We launched this international news publishing company on October 22, 2021, with a mission to publish news and the latest updates from around the world, helping to inform and unite people.
I’m particularly proud of Empire Weekly’s recognition as a Media Partner for CloudFest 2022, The World’s #1 Cloud Industry Conference held in Germany. Additionally, Empire Weekly won Startup of the Year in the media industry at the 10th Globee® Annual 2022 CEO World Awards®.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
Building my reputation in the digital marketing industry has been a journey of consistent innovation, dedication, and a genuine passion for helping businesses thrive online. I believe several factors have contributed significantly to this. Firstly, starting Uzi World Digital at such a young age – I was only 16 – caught people’s attention and showcased my drive and entrepreneurial spirit. This early start allowed me to grow alongside the rapidly evolving digital landscape. Secondly, our commitment to delivering tangible results for our clients, especially in areas like digital PR and online advertising for entrepreneurs and celebrities, has been crucial. Word-of-mouth referrals from satisfied clients have been invaluable in building our reputation. The recognition we’ve received, such as the India Digital Enabler Awards 2020 and the India 500 CEO Awards 2022, has also significantly boosted our credibility. Additionally, founding Empire Weekly and its subsequent success have further solidified my reputation as a versatile entrepreneur in the digital space. Lastly, I think my continuous efforts to stay ahead of industry trends, coupled with a willingness to share knowledge and resources, have helped position me as a thought leader in the field. It’s been a combination of early success, consistent performance, industry recognition, diversification of ventures, and a commitment to innovation that has helped build and maintain our reputation in the market.
Are there any books, videos, essays or other resources that have significantly impacted your management and entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy?
As an entrepreneur and digital marketer, I’ve always been passionate about learning from those who have paved the way in our industry. I’m a big believer in the power of continuous education, and there are several books and thought leaders that have significantly shaped my management style and entrepreneurial philosophy.
I’ve been a long-time follower of Gary Vaynerchuk, and his book “Crush It!” has been incredibly impactful on my journey. Gary’s raw, no-nonsense approach to entrepreneurship and his insights on leveraging social media for business growth have been invaluable in shaping my strategies at Uzi World Digital.
Another book that has greatly influenced my thinking is “DOTCOM Secrets” by Russell Brunson. Brunson’s expertise in funnel building and online marketing strategies has been crucial in helping me develop effective digital marketing campaigns for our clients.
Rand Fishkin’s “Lost and Founder” is another resource that I found incredibly insightful. Fishkin’s honest account of his experiences in building and scaling a startup resonated deeply with me, especially as I was going through similar challenges with Uzi World Digital and Empire Weekly. His candid approach to discussing both successes and failures has helped me navigate my entrepreneurial journey with more realistic expectations and better preparedness.
These books and authors have not only provided me with practical strategies and tactics but have also shaped my overall philosophy towards business and leadership. They’ve reinforced the importance of authenticity, persistence, and continuous innovation in the fast-paced world of digital marketing and entrepreneurship.
I also find great value in staying updated through various online resources, industry blogs, and podcasts. The digital landscape is constantly evolving, and these mediums help me stay on top of the latest trends and best practices.
For aspiring entrepreneurs and marketers, I would highly recommend diving into these resources. They offer a wealth of knowledge that can help you avoid common pitfalls and accelerate your growth. However, it’s important to remember that while learning from others is crucial, the real lessons come from applying this knowledge and learning from your own experiences. Every business journey is unique, and the key is to adapt these insights to your specific situation and market.
