Alright, Tyrone thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Can you take us back in time to the first dollar you earned as a creative – how did it happen? What’s the story?

The first dollar I ever earned from content creating was being a guest on the @GirlThatsScary podcast for Dread Central. I was shocked someone wanted to pay me for something I’d do for free and to be honest pay to do.

Tyrone, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

My name is Tyrone Williams but most know me as @TheEvolTyrone when I’m creating content for the horror community. I host a show on YouTube called “Evol Live” where I gather guests from all over the world to discuss our favorite genre. I’ve talked to anyone from SuperFans to Film Directors, Actors, Business Owners, etc. I’m honestly surprised that I found this many folks to talk Horror with because growing up that wasn’t always the case especially for folks who shared my skin tone. A lot of people whom I’ve met tell me all the time it’s refreshing to gather with folks of color and talk about Horror (the good and the bad) and just exist without any judgements. I feel like that’s what my show provides…a relaxed conversation about your favorite genre with a friend. It’s just a part of the journey to bring more light to Horror and the community of who loves it. To create more safe spaces for people to express themselves.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?

The most rewarding aspect of being a creative is inspiring someone to let their creative juices flow and wave their freak flag proudly. Nothing hits better than someone telling you because you got out of your comfort zone it inspired them as well and they’re implementing that into practice.

Have any books or other resources had a big impact on you?

I read Power Vs Force by David R Hawkins and it really changed my view on how my energy can effect others on a scientific level. Literally ever since I read it I’ve been watching close what I say out of my mouth because the body is listening.
