We recently connected with Tyrone Everett and have shared our conversation below.

Tyrone, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Naming anything – including a business – is so hard. Right? What’s the story behind how you came up with the name of your brand?

The Crown Xchange Clothing Brand name means that a King can represent in an Urban Fashion or Professional look and still get their point across clearly. Basically, we cater to both sides of the Crown and not limit to inside of the box.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

Crown Xchange Clothing Brand was created from the love of fashion. Fashion has always been a part of my life since I can remember always looking to make a statement. Personally, I feel that it’s important to look good and confident about yourself whenever you “Step Out”. So, one day I decide to step out on “Faith.” and introduce the fashion world to my creativity. All Crown Xchange creativity, colors, designs and material selections are selected by yours truly. The products we offer are Men Short Sets, Tracksuits, Jogging Sweats, Socks, Hats and Men tie sets. We offer women apparel Fitness Workout Gear, Joggers and Romper Sets. I have notice from my short time in the fashion industry that first you must keep up with what’s trending at the present time and paying close attention of what your consumer admires about your creativity. When I see a customer wearing the Crown Xchange Brand. It really feels good to see consumers in our products. Our goal is to put out a dependable product that would have the consumers continuing to come back and also introduce other consumers to the brand. Crown Xchange Clothing stands behind all of its products and guarantee the consumer a quality product all the time. We pray the Crown Xchange Brand inspires all upcoming young fashion designers who are hesitating to step out on faith and show the world their creativity. If I could leave one thing with you. It would be to always be consistent each and everyday.

We’d really appreciate if you could talk to us about how you figured out the manufacturing process./

The most creative part of Crown Xchange Clothing Brand was finding a manufacturer that could create the product how I wanted it to look in detail. I’m an attention to detail individual; first, I draw up my mockups with the colors and designs and send them to manufacturers. The most important part of starting a Clothing Brand is finding a manufacturer that knows your creativity and one you can bounce ideas off. Choosing the correct fabrics is essential when working with manufacturers from afar. Most of our manufacturers are overseas, but we hope to build a relationship with many in the United States.

Can you talk to us about how your funded your business?

I currently own a transportation company named Everetts Transportation Services, where I started Crown Xchange Clothing Brand from the profits from my Transportation Company. Using profits to purchase material, website, marketing, and even attending Popup Shops events to market my brand. I see Crown Xchange Clothing Brand growing, but it’s not where I would like to have it personally, although it’s making a profit. My main goal is to be consistent with the brand every day.
