We recently connected with Tyriee Kasper and have shared our conversation below.
Tyriee, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
Extraterrestrial Music Group was founded October of 2020 with the purpose of changing the industry, providing fair opportunities to artist and creatives. I also want to show the world that no matter your past, environment, mistakes or anything you’ve been through greatness is achievable. You don’t have to lose your values or morals to become successful in the music industry. As long as you stand on what you believe, word hard, stay consistent and invest into yourself or business. You can do anything you put your mind to.
Tyriee, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I got into the music industry first the end of 2018, early 2019 ish after being incarcerated. When I got out, I started my spiritually awakening journey. I was worked valet for a little awhile before helping a popular strip with promotions in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. I soon realized I didn’t want to me in the nightlife scene as it was too many low vibrations. A lot of the people I hung out with were involved in music so i had an event at my house, after seeing what I put together so quick, a couple artist said I should be a manager and that I’d be good at it. I got involved and never looked back. I worked everyday learning new skills. I had a lot of sleepless nights. I realized a lot of artist, creators and business owners expressed the lack of marketing and promotion, so that’s primarily where I put my focus. I started off charging $30 a week to promote their music and it just went from there.
Can you talk to us about how your funded your business?
I started Extraterrestrial Music Group with only $500. I was managing, developing and investing into artist prior that didn’t workout exactly how I wanted to even though we still had some success. I woke up when day and something just told me it was time to start a label, I knew I wanted to start a record label prior just didn’t know the right time, at that time I just knew it was time and didn’t let low funding stop it. So the $500 went towards getting the LLC, trademark and getting the logos done. I just used marketing and promotion to fund the business at that time and continued to.
Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
The most effective strategy has been just providing efficient, quality results with consistency. When you do extraordinary work, word spreads fast and people notice. Quality work attracts quality clients.
