We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Tyreq Miles. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Tyreq below.
Tyreq, appreciate you joining us today. Let’s jump to the end – what do you want to be remembered for?
I will be the biggest cultural artist of my time.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I was bored one day during quarantine and decided to customize a old pair of AirMax 97s to go with a Monstar Space Jam Jersey I just bought. After I customized the shoes I ended up falling in love with painting. So, I went to Michaels and bought some canvas and painting supplies. That day I started and finished The Lost King. Since then I have done numerous costume pieces, portraits, and abstract cartoon art.
How did you put together the initial capital you needed to start your business?
I use my day job to fund my business. As an Accountant, I make a decent living. I just pump everything extra I have a month to month into myself.
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
My personality is what helped grow my reputation. I am a extremely personable person and it allows people to really connect with me and my work.
