We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Tyree McCall . We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Tyree below.
Hi Tyree , thanks for joining us today. Let’s start with what makes profitability in your industry a challenge – what would you say is the biggest challenge?
For me I believe being a creative forces you to always think outside the box and be different. While It is I love design, 90% of it comes from strategy and educating the values to my clients the important of branding. That in my opinion is the biggest challenge because building a brand takes time and it is not cheap at all. People see what others have got done, and want it. The challenge is from the outside looking in they have no clue what it took to get those results.

Tyree , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My name is Tyree McCall. I am Founder & CEO of my Tyree McCall Creatives where we specialize in building personalized visual brands and giving them the experience of a lifetime. As a graphic designer, that was my first passion. Over the years, I’ve grown to learn from my mentors, leaders and even clients to scale and offer more of an experience to my clients.
Today, business is blowing my mind to where it’s growing from where it started. We offer brand identity, photography, social media marketing, web design and much more.
The journey to here hasn’t been easy and required a lot of hard work and sacrifice. I’m grateful for my team who help me streamline our systems and make what we do special for each client. I would say to anyone that believes they have a talent or skill, invest in the person you want to become and it was have to return in abundance.
How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
Whew! This one is heavy because for the first few years of my business I had to pivot until it worked! Pivoting is so challenging as a creative because we want everything perfect before it rolls out or nothing comes out at all. Also trying to get people to understand your vision and stay down while you push the brand is one of the toughest things ever. So many people left and my friends became few once I begin building.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
Honestly seeing how it affects the client and gives them results in their business is the best feeling ever. I love helping others and being of service so when I give them their deliverables, it puts a smile on my face to know they are happy. Also the freedom in knowing you can get paid fro doing what you love is rewarding as well, plus not having a boss lol. Love it here seriously
