Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Tyree Leopold. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Tyree, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
I knew I wanted to pursue music professionally when I was in college studying business for my major but was somehow stuck in a class learning about history. Music than later became my business that didn’t require a degree like most businesses. I have a passion for it i get excited speaking on any music topic. What better Idea than to pursue that and look at it as me running a business. I only ended up in college because I got an offer to play football at the school. Once that didn’t fall through I went head first into making music happen for the group and I.
Tyree, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
So back in 2017 we basically started out just making YouTube videos. Put them out weekly and kept doing that until we built a little bit of a fan base. During that process we would drop music videos that our supporters would watch like and support them. So maybe a year after that we went into making music full time and ditched the whole YouTube video thing. Making that decision we went into doing local shows, connecting with label reps etc. just build the foundation you see today that way. It’s insane to see the growth in just a couple of years because we went on our first American tour last summer then shortly following that we received our first plaque, We can only thank the people that have believed in us from the jump! People that bought and or buying our merch today and streaming our music etc.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
Just seeing our music and ideas spark smiles into the people that support us. When we went on tour (2021) that was the most pictures we’ve taken with people that been loving our movement from the jump, to finally connect with them and for them to enjoy that moment with us was an amazing feeling, surreal.
We’d love to hear your thoughts on NFTs. (Note: this is for education/entertainment purposes only, readers should not construe this as advice)
Im outside.
