We were lucky to catch up with Tyra Green recently and have shared our conversation below.
Tyra, appreciate you joining us today. When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?
I knew I wanted to pursue a creative path professionally when I was age 12. At age 12, I started Gymnastics and months later I was introduced to Track and Field. I met the Track Coach and started my journey as a Track athlete. When I turned 14 years old, I use to receive monthly Fashion Magazines in the mail and I fell in love with Fashion and Modeling. A year later I signed with my first Talent Agent. Today, I continue to train and compete as a Track Athlete for Atlanta Track Club along with booking Modeling jobs, as I have recently signed with (V Management Group).

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I competed in my first Track race at age 12. My favorite event was the 200 Meter sprint and I still love the same race today! I grew up in the city of Raleigh, NC that produced the top athletes highly ranked in the Nation in varies sports. I was always around sports whether I was competing or supporting my family at a sports game. I gained interest in Modeling around age 14 after reading Fashion Magazines and discovering my petite body type, which looked similar to the Models that I would see. I loved taking pictures and was very photogenic. My aunt was always taking pictures at family gatherings and I was ready to pose. What sets me apart from others is my gift and talent from God, discipline, and being unique which allows me to stand out in many ways. I am most proud of how I learned to have discipline in my craft at a young age, which has helped me today accomplish short term and long term goals for myself. I want potential Fitness Brands to know that being an Athlete is a lifestyle and brings joy to me to challenge myself and to keep going! I love Fitness apparel because of how comfortable I feel and look while wearing it. Some of my favorite Fitness Brands are: Adidas, Nike, Under Armour, and Reebok.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect of being an Athlete and a Fitness Model is the opportunity to live a healthy lifestyle daily. Competing on the Track keeps my body in the best shape along with working out to lift weights in the gym. I get to show up on Modeling sets while looking and feeling my best as I represent Fitness Brands.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
My main goal each year is to be better than the previous year mentally, physically, and spiritually, as an Athlete and Fitness Model. I use my Platform that God gave me to share it with the world.
