We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Tyona Bowman a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, Tyona thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. To kick things off, we’d love to hear about things you or your brand do that diverge from the industry standard.

I would say, me using my ability to discover / develop different characters as a way to influence/ establish fashion trends has set me apart from the typical industry standard for actors and fashion models. I won’t give much away, but I will say that mixing the two is moving my career further than ever before! So, only time will tell.

Tyona, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

Well of course! First, my name is Tyona Bowman. Pronounced like Tie-On-A-Bow-Man…I know super cool hahaha. I’m an actress, dancer, fashionista and CEO of a film company called Stainless Cinema LC. We create for and collaborate with many artists who need a little boost in their self discover process as a creative. That’s why I created the company in the first place.
As an actress myself I knew that in order to get my talent seen by the masses in this saturated industry, I would need to produce my own content. Incorporating my two loves ACTING N FASHION !

Looking back, are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?

I wish that I knew that it was ok to seek help. Especially from veterans in your industry.
