We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Tyoderick Justice . We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Tyoderick below.
Tyoderick , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s talk legacy – what sort of legacy do you hope to build?
If I get to the end of my life and realize that I played it safe because I was too afraid to fail, I would be mad at myself because that’s not the type of person I am. The only way we know if life has a chance of moving in a certain direction is if we are daring enough to take the risk. I know I won’t regret taking risks.
I will hope that at the end of my days my mother and my grandmother felt like they have a great son and grandson that did something with his life and became someone of importance. If I ever have children in the future I want them to know they had a father who was available, caring, listened to them, supported them to dream big, and comforted them when it all felt a little too hard.
I hope that when I look back, I can be proud of myself for taking care of my family and always put them first. Family are the relationships that matter the most in life. I hope that my wife will feel I did a damn good job at being a husband. I know that will require commitment, dedication, patience, and love to achieve.
I hope I leave a legacy with my work throughout Metro Atlanta from my photos down to my videos. I hope those who knew me will associate my name with a sense of deep, collective love. I hope that when those who knew me hear my name after I am gone, they will feel a sense of warmth in their hearts and always remember how much love and passion I had when it came down to my business and doing what I love.. I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world.
I just want to inspire other creatives to Shoot as often as you can. every day if possible. even if you don’t feel inspired or prepared. just do it. Nothing is better for creativity. Practice what you preach and make sure you too exist in photos which means be photographed. Don’t get caught up in the gear game. You can have the most expensive equipment, and it will never be a substitute for talent. Talent and ability can’t be bought. Get out there and shoot. Don’t wait until you have all the best gear. Work on your skills. That is your most valuable asset.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
If you don’t know me, my name is Tyoderick Justice better known as Tray Sharpshire. I am from Atlanta, GA and Im a photographer, cinematographer & radio/media personality. My goal is to tell your own unique story through photographs and film that will last a lifetime. Create content and help you preserve those special moments.
I admire the work of all the different creatives on the scene in ATL. The city has given me many wonderful opportunities working with and for a great number of celebrities and high-profile figures, We all get to come out, learn from each other and leave with amazing content. It’s effortless to get out and network in the current creative culture here in ATL.
I suggest all creatives get out and collaborate more than competing; it’s how we all win in the end. Being in the logistics/ supply chain management field is what takes all my time aside from shooting & family. I believe God places people or situations in your life for a reason. Everything is an opportunity and/or a lesson. I genuinely believe I’ve been blessed to work in a field that I love.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
Bringing a new idea to life is the most rewarding aspect of my work. During the creative process, I feel most inspired when I have a new idea and the vision to create it. By working through this process, I design and experiment to refine a particular technique. It is important to maintain an openness and flexibility to listen to the material, which can lead to new discoveries, perpetuating the creative cycle.
What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
The best source of new clients in my opinion I would say is social media. If you are a business owner or a creator and you don’t have social media then you are indeed missing out on a lot of money. Social media is easily one of the most powerful tools that you can use to reach new clients and introduce them to your brand, products, or services. Remember, brand recognition markets your brand. So how can you attract customers through social media marketing effectively? Be socially active and use creative content.
