We recently connected with Tynan Townsend and have shared our conversation below.

Tynan, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.

Ever since I could remember I’ve wanted to entertain, whether it be entertaining my family with magic tricks to dancing, making jokes, funny videos, playing instruments or even streaming. One way or another I knew from a young age I was going to be an entertainer no matter what form it took. Due to my passion for this my family has also supported and encouraged me to pursue all and any forms of entertainment I’d adopted into my life. I can even recall one of my elementary teachers speaking to my parents insisting I was going to be extremely successful in my endeavours.

Tynan, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

I got into posting funny videos from my passion of entertaining and making others laugh but ironically my success happened after I was dared by a classmate to make a TikTok account during high school. Ever since high school I’ve never stopped posting to multiple platforms including TikTok, instagram, YouTube, Snapchat and even streaming on twitch and other platforms. I don’t necessarily fix problems but I do try my best to make people laugh and that’s more than enough for me to keep going even if it gets hard or I lose sight of my purpose I always fall back to simple making others laugh. I’m most proud of my pure determination for my content creation as it’s currently been 5-6 years of posting straight.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?

Sole and only mission is to make as many people laugh as possible before I pass away. The more the merrier.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?

Meeting my fans in person is always so cool, as awkward as I am it’s really rewarding to see my videos having a positive impact on people in-front of my eyes. The comments and messages about how I’ve helped lots through hard times and struggles is heart warming. My reward is having a purpose in this life to entertain and make others laugh, even for just a second.
