Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Tymera Finley. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Tymera, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?
In my honest opinion, and from experience, consistency is key. You can’t become successful without being consistent. You also have to have drive , determination, and your “WHY”. That’s another key factor. Your “Why” will motivate you to keep pushing forward and not give up. True success is not determined on the amount of money you make. True success comes from the goals you set out and your ability to achieve them. The money will most definitely come. But in order to be successful you must first achieve.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I wear many hats. I’m a new mom and wife. Im also an author, designer , stylist, and business owner. I’m always trying something new. I love getting my hands dirty and really getting out there in the field when it comes to my brands. What I love most is making women feel incredibly gorgeous, beyond fearless, and extremely confident through my clothing and accessories.
I recently got my House Of Mera storefront inside of the Plaza West Covina Mall. We’re set to open Black Friday 2023. Our grand opening will be larger than life and over the top. We’re bringing new styles , elevated collections, and full high fashion.

Any advice for managing a team?
You have to be decisive. You have to understand that communication is key. That doesn’t mean just talking , it also means you have to be open and willing to listen and hear your teammates and their thoughts and opinions. Another key aspect is treating others the way you’d like to be treated. Be assertive yet kind all in one.

Are there any books, videos, essays or other resources that have significantly impacted your management and entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy?
Yes ! I love this book called “Who Moved My Cheese” it basically teaches you how to adapt quickly to change. It has impacted my entrepreneurial philosophy tremendously. Things are always subject to change, you have to be ready and willing to adapt. Another one would be “The Law Of Attraction Principle” I’m really big on manifestation and attracting what I want vs chasing it. Last would be “You Are A Badass At Making Money” I just started this one but it’s definitely a must read.
