We recently connected with Tylla Ovezova and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Tylla thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What was it like going from idea to execution? Can you share some of the backstory and some of the major steps or milestones?
Throughout my experience, I learned that Ideas, no matter how brilliant, hold little value if they remain only as concepts. The act of executing those ideas is what brings them to life and allows them to have an impact in the real world.
As an aspiring professional musician hailing from Turkmenistan, the idea and dream of owning a music school in Miami Beach seemed like a fairy tale. However, fueled by my passion for music and unwavering determination, I embarked on a challenging journey to turn my dream into reality.
To execute this ambitious dream, I knew I had to break it down into smaller, actionable goals and remain focused to maintain momentum. Initially, I recognized the importance of learning music school management and expanding my linguistic abilities. Hence, I began by immersing myself in language studies.
To gain valuable experience, I worked in Music Schools, Music College and State Conservatory in Turkmenistan for few years, then made the bold decision to move to Dubai, United Arab Emirates where I worked also as a music teacher, honing my skills and knowledge. Seeking insights from larger corporations, from 2015 I even secured a position of Music school manager at Yamaha Music Gulf, learning from the expertise of industry leaders.
Understanding that owning a music school necessitated a vast array of knowledge, I was willing to take risks, work diligently, and carefully plan my path to successful execution.
Despite the challenges I faced as an individual from a different part of the world, my passion for music and drive to succeed guided me through the uncertain terrain. Today, I am proud to say that I have transformed my dream into a thriving music business, offering aspiring musicians a platform to explore their talents and pursue their passion through comprehensive professional music education.
While the journey may have seemed daunting, it is a testament to the power of perseverance, hard work, and the burning desire to turn dreams into reality. I am grateful for the opportunities I have seized and the knowledge I have acquired, and I look forward to continuing to make a meaningful impact in the music industry.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I can say that my unwavering commitment and relentless pursuit of my goals propelled me forward, allowing me to overcome challenges and turn my dream into reality. I was fortunate to get my music education at the prestigious establishments, such as Special Music school from 6 years old where my main instruments were piano and accordion, then Music College and State Conservatory in Turkmenistan. I advanced my piano and composition skills there and received Graduate diploma in Film Scoring from Irish American University.
I had to overcome:
1. Cultural and Geographic Differences: Coming from Turkmenistan, a different part of the world, I faced the challenge of adapting to a new cultures, overcoming language barriers and cultural differences, which I feel I succeeded well.
2. Limited Resources and Networks: Starting a music business in a new location meant I had to establish a network, build connections, and find resources in an unfamiliar environment. With the time and gained knowledge I’m comfortable where I’m.
3. Financial Constraints: Launching and running a music school involves considerable financial commitments. I faced the challenge of securing funding and managing the financial aspects of my business. Through careful planning, budgeting I was able to find right path.
4. Building a Reputation and Trust: Establishing credibility and gaining the trust of clients and students can be a challenge, especially as a newcomer to a new location. This is why with my music background I make sure to have a team of professional and passionate teachers, who share their teaching experience with students of age 3 and above.
I am proud that I created a platform where music lovers can explore their talents and pursue their passion for music. This school not only provides valuable education but also contributes to the local music scene, making a lasting impact within the Miami Beach community.
