Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Tyler Walsh. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Tyler , appreciate you joining us today. We’ve love to hear an interesting investment story – what was one of the best or worst investments you’ve made? (Note, these responses are only intended as entertainment and shouldn’t be construed as investment advice)
The best investment I’ve ever made has been in myself – my health, my career, and my content.
Committing to infinite learning has been essential in every endeavor, from reading and journaling to meditating and working out. Consistently creating content and putting in the daily reps has sharpened my skills and built momentum. Building healthy relationships has amplified my growth, personally and professionally. These habits have created an exponential impact on my career and life.
In college, I felt completely lost and unsure of my path. That’s when I decided to double down on myself – focusing on figuring out who I was and what I wanted. I started working out, which not only built my confidence but also taught me discipline and revealed my strengths. I dove into learning, reading everything from marketing and business to psychology, which helped me grow as a creator and founder.
As Alex Hormozi famously said, “Instead of the S&P 500, most should invest in the S&Me 500. 10x what you make rather than earning 10% on what you’ve made.” That mindset changed everything for me and set the foundation for my success.
Tyler , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Tyler Walsh, a content creator, brand builder, and storyteller with years of experience helping musicians amplify their voice in the digital space. My journey started with a passion for music and curiosity about people, which led me to create wdyd, a content series where I uncover the untold stories behind what people do for a living. I provide dynamic content creation, strategic brand development, and engaging storytelling to help musicians connect with their audience on a deeper level.
What sets me apart is my ability to showcase the authentic side of individuals, breaking barriers and making their stories relatable.
I’m most proud of the relationships I’ve built with emerging artists and entrepreneurs and the trust they place in me to tell their stories. My goal is to inspire, connect, and create content that makes people feel seen, whether they’re clients, followers, or fans.
In your view, what can society to do to best support artists, creatives and a thriving creative ecosystem?
To support artists and a thriving creative ecosystem, society must prioritize collaboration and mentorship. By fostering connections between creatives, businesses, and communities, we can create opportunities that amplify creativity and innovation.
Mentorship plays a crucial role in guiding artists through both the creative and business aspects of their journey, ensuring they can build sustainable careers.
When we invest in shared growth and knowledge, we lay the foundation for a more inclusive and equitable future for creatives.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
For me, the most rewarding aspect of being a creative is seeing the tangible impact of my work.
Whether it’s increasing streams, driving sales, or inspiring people to follow and connect with the interviewee, the results are real and measurable. Knowing that a piece of content can directly influence someone’s career and create meaningful connections is incredibly fulfilling.
