Tyler, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?
So I have 3 kids and My oldest gravitates to me. My youngest is the same with his mom, but my middle is sometimes in limbo. I try to give all my kids equal attention, but sometimes that is not always the case. One day I was checking my middle child, Destiny’s homework, She was writing some amazing poetry. In fact her poems were so good she was ask to read them in front of the school. I instantly became inspired by her poems. I loved the pride and wisdom she had at such a young age. This became a spark for me to work on my own poems as well. Writing and sharing poems with Destiny allow us to connect in way like never before. I comprised our collection of poems together to create my most Meaningful project ever called Loyal T and Destiny Letters to the World. This book is available on Amazon and my website Themmgo.com
Tyler, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Well, I know I’m not a household name yet still I making moves. I have self-publish 3 books. 2 of the 3 books are apart of a Children’s book series called The Merry Meerkats Go!! The series encourages kids to unite and play outside. I have a 26 book plan for the series and ultimately want the series to be an animated show. I have an free Android app and fitness video on Youtube. In addition I have just completed an audiobook of the first book. Currently I have a third book in works and Spanish version of the First book coming out soon. The third book of the three published is my meaningful poetry book with my youngest daughter called Loyal T and Destiny letters to the world. The reason I began to write is to impact the youth. The children are the future if brought up right they will do right to others. With parents having to work more then ever and the children immersed in technology, I wanted to create some thing wholesome to help bring up the kids with my Children’s book series. With my poetry book I wanted to be able to express my thoughts on life in art form. In doing so I able to connect with some and give a new perspective to young adults and adults. I’m in the process of building a self-publishing seminars to encourage others to express themselves or use their imaginations to inspire others as well. The main thing I would want a potential customer or fan to know about my products is everything I do is with love in mind. When I think of stories for my audiences it not different them your grandmother preparing that oven supper for you. It is made to be wholesome and nourish your souls with positivity.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
5 years ago when I created my first book, I would have never thought I would have an audiobook. There were many times I thought I haven’t reached the level of success that I felt I deserved. Yet still I presssed on to create multiple products that can all be link to each other. Sometimes when someone see one great thing it inspires them to invest in another.. The book industry is highly competitive, til this day I still am resilient in my pursuit of being a household name.
Are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
I wish I knew earlier that Authors should have other authors to bounce ideas off and compare successes with each other. What work for one can work with many or vice versa what didn’t work for one can be tweak to work for you. I wish I gain my groups of collages earlier in my career to prevent early mistakes.
