We recently connected with Tyler Hoffman and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Tyler, thanks for joining us today. Talk to us about building your team? What was it like? What were some of the key challenges and what was your process like?
The business started with myself, alone, a Pro Driver & Coach with clients that wanted to go racing and needed a team to do with it. As the opportunity to develop a team arose, originally friends and family members came on to expand the operation into what it is today, a professional racing team based right here in Atlanta, Georgia. Networking and meeting individuals that work with other teams in different series and word of mouth is how we have met most of our current team , which consisting of 15-20 crew members. The interview process is rather informal, more similar to that of a tryout. We invite potential team members to come join us for a day at the track if we there is a potential for employment. Our process for identifying talent is a bit different than some, as we value the persons character over the specific skill set to qualify for the tryout. At Kingpin Racing, we would rather invest time, money, and resources into the right people as the nature of our business requires some level of hands on training,
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

Kingpin Racing helps clients with anything that has to do with racecars. From acquiring the car, preparing it for events, transporting it to different tracks, and teaching those how to drive it properly, both quickly and safely.
Do you have multiple revenue streams – if so, can you talk to us about those streams and how your developed them?
Our business has many revenue streams as a race team is all encompassing. We provide transportation, coaching, logistic solutions, trackside services, and hospitality for clients to have a great experience while racing with us. We have a retail side of the business that offers the best parts, supplies, and safety equipment available in the industry today. The business is always growing and developing and now we are currently looking to expand our race program with a shop to maintain the cars in house & provide storage solutions.
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
We have been able to build a positive reputation by prioritizing the clients interests as our own, building a strong team to support those clients, being transparent and always doing the right thing. Trust is paramount.
