We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Tyler Disney. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Tyler below.
Tyler, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
My mission for my photography journey is to make people smile and have heartfelt memories captured forever. Its meaningful for me because ever since covid happened I notice around me people have been depressed or un motivated, starting back in 2021 on my photography business I want to show that there is light even if its the smallest thing.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Hi my name is Tyler Disney, 27, I was born in Las Vegas and raised in Reno NV before moving down to Los Angeles in 2016 for Audio Engineering school for film and tv, I decided to take some time off and started helping friends with other projects such as short films and music videos, How I got into photography was during covid 19, one day I was thinking to myself what could I do different and try something new so I self thought myself photography and editing, the services I offer are portrait’s, cosplay, headshots, etc. What sets me apart from others is that I care if the client is happy with the work I provided, seeing them smile is what keeps me going. What i’m most proud of is my work and meeting new people and working with them on future projects, The main thing I want my followers to know that I’m a good person even though I had my ups and downs for the past couple years I suffer PTSD and GAD (generalized anxiety disorder) and I have autism so social cues are a little difficult for me.

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
I would say the best source of getting new clients is instagram and going to networking events throughout the city.

What else should we know about how you took your side hustle and scaled it up into what it is today?
Yes, When I first started doing photography back in march of 2021 I was doing it as a hobby as time went on I wanted to expand my journey and turn it into a career once I did that I been getting more offers and jobs like doing concert photography at local venues and editorial shoots and hopefully upcoming set photography when the SAG-AFTRA strike ends I could be getting back into Headshots and expanding more
