Owning a business isn’t always glamorous and so most business owners we’ve connected with have shared that on tough days they sometimes wonder what it would have been like to have just had a regular job instead of all the responsibility of running a business. Have you ever felt that way?

Am I happier as a business owner? With all honesty, my feelings change daily. When you’re solely relying on yourself to generate income for your family and to take care of responsibilities, it is a lot of pressure. Overall, I will say I am genuinely happy because I am doing what I feel I was guided by God to do. With all the tribulations I have faced in the past, and even today, I have wondered many times what it would be like to have a regular job or even trying to balance it with my business because of the difficulties that comes with it, but I am always reminded that the adversities faced are just another reminder that I am being lead down the right path.

My name is Tye’Asja Youngblood also known as Tye. Before pursuing Allure Beautye (I got my LLC while still in cosmetology school), I worked as an esthetician at a corporate waxing franchise, where I gained extensive experience in the field but found the compensation and work environment did not fully align with my professional values and aspirations. Transitioning to my own practice, I now operate as a solo esthetician with a focus on providing personalized, high-quality services. At Allure Beautye, I offer comprehensive full-body waxing and precise brow services, ensuring that every client receives exceptional care and attention. Additionally, I’m committed to fostering the next generation of beauty professionals through specialized brow artistry courses. These courses are designed to share my expertise and elevate the skills of aspiring estheticians. My goal is to create a refined and empowering environment for both clients and students, reflecting my dedication to excellence in the beauty industry. What sets me apart from others in the industry is my commitment to a highly personalized approach and my extensive expertise, honed through diverse experiences. Unlike larger corporate environments where service can be more standardized, I provide individualized attention that ensures each client receives tailored care, addressing their unique needs and preferences. Balancing the demands of running a business and raising a child has been challenging, but my faith in God has been a guiding force. My ability to deliver exceptional, personalized services and to mentor future professionals, all while managing these responsibilities, is a testament to both my commitment and the support I find through my faith.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.

Like many business owners, the first year was incredibly tough for me. I had just become a single mother and, to add to the challenge, I lost my previous job as I was starting my own business. In this vulnerable state, I received numerous confirmations from God to continue pursuing my vision. Despite facing a car accident, losing my home, and dealing with postpartum challenges, I remained steadfast. These trials have truly demonstrated my resilience and have been pivotal in shaping the success and perseverance I bring to Allure Beautye today.

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?

Being authentic has been the most effective strategy for growing my business. I’m not originally from Texas so a lot of my clients have become like family, and they’ve watched me grow both personally and professionally. Their support and trust have been crucial in establishing Allure Beautye, and it’s this genuine connection that has driven my success. My genuine approach has naturally attracted clientele through word of mouth.
